Elliott was good for most of today, though he did have a time out at lunchtime as he was persistently not listening to what he was being asked to do.
Activities
In the morning we drove down to Downton and had lunch in a pub in the New Forest.
After lunch we opened my presents and then spent the afternoon playing as he had some extra presents from Andrea's nephews. We also made a space ship out of the boxes from his Christmas toys and he was very creative over this.

Christmas Day
General
Elliott was good for all of today, although unsurprisingly a bit hyper at times and very tired by the end of the day. He seems to have developed a bit of a sniffle, but seems much happier in general terms and wasn't subdued today at all, declaring his headache better.
Activities
In the morning he woke around 5.15am and then came to wake me up, but then said he was going back to bed as it wasn't morning yet so it wasn't time to open his presents. However about 20 minutes later he was back so we opened his presents from Santa - a Ben 10 Omnitrix, an Octonauts Gup, a Sonic remote control car and some stocking fillers (some mini Ben 10 figures, some cars, a tell the time game, a Gruffalo pencil, etc). After we opened Santa's presents we played for a while before having breakfast. Then we swapped more presents with Andrea as she left to spend the day with her family, and he got a Hex Bug Nano starter kit from Andrea which he has been really enjoying. After some more playing we went to Salisbury Cathedral to pick up Granny who currently can't drive because of a bandaged wrist. When we got back it was lunch time and he did really well with his roast lunch, though we did tell him it was chicken instead of turkey to help encourage him.
After lunch we opened the last presents and he had been given some books, some Angry Birds cuddly toys and Ben 10 crashing cars from Granny and Grandpa which he really loved. Then more playing, interupted by watching "Room on the Broom" on television which he really got in to. Finally it was bath time and he was really tired by then and fell asleep very quickly again.

Christmas Eve
General
Elliott was good for all of today. During the morning he was a bit subdued and still seemed a little ill, but he improved in the afternoon, though did say he had his "first ever headache".
Activities
In the morning we had a lazy time with Andrea and Granny, watching television and playing with cars, castles and toy tools.
After lunch, as Elliott was feeling better, we went into Salisbury to do some last minute Christmas shopping with Andrea. This was good fun and we also stopped for tea in Cafe Nero. When we got back Elliott was very excited about Santa and we put out a mince pie and a card for him and some milk for the reindeer. We also left a sign on the door of his room in Downton saying he was in so Santa knew. He went to sleep remarkably quickly considering the excitement and later I dressed up as Santa and put his stocking and presents in his room for when he wakes up, but there wasn't a peep from him so the outfit turned out to be unnecessary.

Pyjamas
General
Elliott was good for all of today but also a little under the weather. He was sick not long after he first got up. As the day wore on he improved a lot and was eating cereal and sandwiches with no further sickness, but he was a little subdued all day long. Unfortunately this meant missing out on the planned visit to Harry Higgins in the afternoon.

In the morning we had a lazy time in pyjamas and bed watching the iPad and sleeping a bit. Elliott seemed happy enough but was obviously not 100 per cent.
After lunch Elliott perked up a bit and then Andrea arrived and we did some playing downstairs, but he stayed in pyjamas for the whole day.

In the morning we did a lot of playing with cars and the marble run. We also coloured in some Christmas cards and practiced writing in them.
After lunch we went to Salisbury where we had some tea and then went to a children's event in the Cathedral called "On Angel's Wings". This was a telling of the Christmas story with some singing. Elliott was said he enjoyed this but also fell asleep during parts.

Carols in the Mall

Elliott was good tonight.
Activities
After picking him up from school we went to Asda to do some last minute shopping and have a bite to eat. Then we went to Carols in the Mall at the Council Offices in Wokingham where Harry and Jack Jenkins were. Elliott liked some of the carols but enjoyed playing with Harry lots more. After carols we went to Granny and Grandpas in Downton where we'll be for Christmas.

Elliott was much more himself tonight and well behaved.
Activities
Elliott's nativity play was very good and he was really good as the donkey. There were a lot of children on stage but only one donkey and he was singing and dancing really well. I was very proud. Then after school we went home and he practiced signing his name in 10 Christmas cards which he did really well and seemed to enjoy.

Waterstones
General
Elliott was good for all of today apart from a time out at lunch as he was being silly about not liking Roast Chicken. In the end he sat down and agreed it was like nuggets and eat loads for lunch very well. His coughing is beginning to sound better and is happening less often.

In the morning we went into Salisbury to try and find a barbers but they were all shut. So we went to Waterstones and read some books (including "Father Christmas needs a wee" which he really liked) and did some colouring at a table they have there. General
Elliott was good for all of today apart from another time out at breakfast time as he was eating his cereal very slowly. Again he apologised and was good afterwards and finished eating.
Activities
In the morning we went into Salisbury and met up with Pete and Charlie Sladen for coffee. We all then went to the toy shop to look at toys for Christmas. He was really good in the shop and didn't complain once about not buying anything today. Then Pete and Charlie left and we had lunch.
After lunch Andrea went home and we went to the Sleeping Beauty pantomime at Salisbury Playhouse with Granny as we were on the waiting list for return tickets and fortunately there were some. This was really good - very well written and enjoyable for all ages and similar to last year as no glitzy stars but good fun, good acting and catchy songs. Plus they made fun of Durrington as "exotic". At first he seemed a little shy and found an early song a little loud, but after 10 minutes or so he really got in to it. By the end he was singing, clapping, dancing, shouting and giggling along and was really engaged. His favourite character was the Royal gardner called Billy. We also bought a toy sword that lights up with his pocket money which he has taken a shine to.

Wokingham Christmas Fayre

Elliott was good for all of today.
Activities
In the morning we had a fun breakfast and play time with Billy and Reuben. Then we travelled back to Wokingham where we had lunch with Andrea in her flat.
After lunch we went to the Wokingham Christmas Fayre with Harry and Jack Jenkins, Andrea's nephews, her brother and his partner. This was really good fun and there were lots of stalls, rides and a parade with bagpipes. One of the best bits was decorating a cake and gingerbread diplodocus with icing and toppings. We also queued to see Father Christmas in his grotto in Wokingham library which was really good. Elliott got a snow leopard soft toy and asked Father Christmas for a Ben 10 Omnitrix.

In the morning we travelled to the Hyde's house in St Albans to meet up with Reuben, Billy, Matt and Chas. They were all very pleased to see each other.
After lunch we went to soft play where everyone was very energetic but there wasn't any falling out. For tea we had spaghetti with cheese and Elliott ate some of this, though also quite a lot of garlic bread.

We went to Salisbury shopping in the morning and Elliott was really well behaved. We looked at some toys and books but also some other things.

Elliott was good for all of today though he did wake up a bit earlier than the last few days - around 5.40am. He also began coughing a bit during the day.

In the morning we had a lazy time again and we played some games with Gruffalo and Hungry Caterpillar cards.
After lunch we went to The Living Rainforest which was really good. He was really engaged by the creatures, especially the crocodile. He also took lots of photos with my camera again.

After lunch we went to Reading museum in the Town Hall where they were having a pirate themed event "The Big Draw". Elliott joined in with some of the activities, especially helping colour in the big ship they'd made, but he seemed to find some of the rooms a bit crowded and was a bit shy. However he also started taking photos with my camera of the museum and it's exhibitions which he really got in to. I've posted some of the best ones on the flickr account.

Alice and Fi

Elliott was good for most of today but we did have a time out before we left the Higgins as he and Harry started being silly and pushing each other and then blaming each other.
Activities
In the morning we played with Harry and Bertie's toys and then went for a walk to the river in Durrington which was nice. We did some marching to "The Grand Old Duke Of York" while we were walking.
After lunch we travelled back via Dave, Jo, Alice and Fi's house. This was really good fun and we did some lego construction, played with a dolls house and played 2 games - 1 which was a snap style memory game and the other a snakes and ladders style game. We both really enjoyed this.
When we got back we had tea and then had bath and bedtime a bit earlier than normal to transition to the fact that the clocks are now an hour behind.

After we arrived we did some playing and then we went to soft play which was loads of fun. Then when we got back we had spaghetti bolognese for tea and he ate quite a bit of this, though not quite all. Then it was time for bath, playing and bed and he and Harry went to sleep pretty quickly considering they were in the same room on bunk beds - they did come down once about 5 minutes after initial lights out, but then after a motivational talking to they settled.

When we got home Elliott did some writing practice in a new writing book he found (an empty notebook I've had for ages). Then we went to Andrea's house and slept over there and he was really good and went to sleep quickly.

Wiggles
General
Elliott was really well behaved after school today.
Activities
We did some music playing while watching The Wiggles, he played drums and I played guitar. We also did some puzzles. We had chicken and rice for tea and he ate it well, saying the rice (wholemeal) tasted like chocolate. He helped me to choose the chicken from the fridge and pour the rice into the saucepan.

Tea with Milly and Elsie
General
Elliott was good after school today.
Activities
We went to see the Allens after school for tea and Elliott played brilliantly with Milly and Elsie and was telling everyone all about school, showing them his school books and his packed lunch.

Wicken Fen
General
Elliott was good for most of today although he did have a moment whewe went to Wicken Fen as he wanted to take his coat off but it was too cold so I wouldn't let him. Eventuall he gave in though!
Activities
In the morning we played and then went to Wicken Fen near the Dawson's house which was great. We had a picnic lunch by a windmill, saw lots of Dragonflys, flat corn fields, and a river and we did lots of running around. He got on really well with Lucas all visit.
After our visit we travelled home via Andrea's flat and he was really good before bed and wanted to read a book about wildlife we have.

Pizza making
General
Elliott was good for all of today.
Activities
In the morning after breakfast and some playing with cars we set off for Cambridge to visit the Dawsons. We stopped on the way for a picnic lunch and Elliott was really good on the journey.
After we arrived we went to the park with Alex and Lucas which was really good fun. When we got back he started showing Lucas different letter shapes using a straw. Then for tea we made pizzas which both boys enjoyed and he eat really well and seemed very proud of his pizza.

Tea with Andrea
General
Elliott was good after school today apart from refusing to have any broccoli.
Activities
We went to Andrea's house after school today via the park and we did some playing and reading. He eat well although wouldn't try broccoli so missed out on pudding. He was a little upset by this but not too bad.

Spot
General
Elliott was good after school today. However he was wiping his mouth with his sleeve a lot, I'm not sure whether this is something we're encouraging due to sore lips problem or discouraging at the moment so I turned a blind eye.
Activities
We had a lazy time after school and he played with his new space and astronaut toys from The Science Museum. He also wanted to read his Spot book from school.

Harry Higgins in Durrington
General
Elliott was good for most of today. However there were some moments while we were with Harry and he had a time out at the Higgins house as he was using silly behaviour to get his own way again. I did get him to admit again when he apologised that silly behaviour didn't get him what he wanted.
Activities
In the morning we played at Granny's house and went for some elevenses at Waitrose on the way to visit Harry Higgins in his new house in Durrington. We got to the Higgins house around 11am and played there with Harry and Albert inside and outside for a while. Then Lara left to see her Dad and we all had a nice lunch.
After lunch we scootered to the playground in Durrington where Elliott, Harry and Albert all played together. After quite a long time playing we also visited the skate ramps in the park on scooters for some supervised fun which both Elliott and Harry seemed to really enjoy. After we got back from the park we watched some Tom and Jerry before heading back to Reading for tea, bath and bed time.

The Science Museum
General
Elliott was good for most of today. However we went shopping quickly to Asda in the morning to buy rolls for lunch and he got very upset that we didn't "borrow a toy", even though I told him we'd be borrowing one later when we went to the Science Museum. In the end I had to leave Andrea to buy the shopping and take him out for a time out on a bench in the mall outside Asda. It took him about 5 minutes to sit down properly for the time out, but after he did he said sorry for being silly and admitted that silly behaviour didn't get him what he wanted.
Activities
In the morning we played at Andrea's flat, watched some Sonic, did some drawing and went to Asda for elevenses and to get some rolls for a packed lunch on our way to London.
In the afternoon we went with Andrea to London to meet with Hilary Weale, my Godmother's daughter, and we all went to The Science Museum. This was a really good afternoon. There was lots to see and do and lots of button's to press. He especially enjoyed the space section, a section with some trains, cars and aeroplanes and the interactive basement that is like a swisher version of The Look Out. We also had some tea there and borrowed some a bag of space toys - figures and little rockets - as he seemed very inspired by space exploration. After our visit Elliott and I drove down to Downton to see Granny again and stay over for the evening.

Name card
General
Elliott was good after school today and also got a tick on his name card at school for sitting nicely on the carpet. I think if he gets 4 ticks he gets a house point.

Ch
General
Elliott was really good after school today apart from refusing to eat his pasta.

We did some watching television, some playing and before bed we read the books he'd bought back from school and did some more "ch"ing. For tea we had rolls as pasta was the only hot option before payday and he was refusing it - in the end I thought it was better for him to eat something than nothing!
