General
Elliott was a bit testy at times today. I think he was a bit tired as he had a bad tummy last night at one stage so was awake for a bit. He did throw one quite large strop as I wouldn't let him have maltesers after swimming (he had some chocolate on Saturday at Monkey Mates), but I ignored him until he calmed down and then we had a chat about silliness. He also fell asleep after we got back from swimming for half an hour or so on the sofa.
Activities
We had a lazy morning playing, drawing, etc. In the afternoon we went swimming at Rivermead which was really good as there was only about 5 other people in the pool so we got lots of space with floats, etc.

Andy, Nush and Chloe
General
Elliott was good for most of the day, though he was a little restless in the afternoon. However we were a bit cooped up inside because of the weather in the afternoon so it wasn't a surprise and he didn't do anything particularly naughty.
Activities
In the morning we went to visit Andy Davies, Nush and Chloe in High Wycombe. This was really good fun and we took the Scalectrix with us again. Chloe is a bit younger (16 months) but Elliott was really good with her and he eat all the pasta lunch Nush cooked for him which was really good.
In the afternoon, after we got back, we had mainly an indoor time due to rais. We played with cars and some new toy animals Granny bought for him. We also watched Everything Is Rosie and Octonauts. The weather did clear up a little later on so we went to the local park for some exercise and some time outside. .

Monkey Mates with Harry Jenkins
General
Elliott was really good all day today, although he was in very high spirits by the end of the day.
Activities
In the morning we went to Wokingham with Granny and had a nice pub lunch as well as a wander around.
In the afternoon we went to the soft play at Monkey Mates in Wokingham with Andrea and her nephew Harry. This was really good fun, although a little manic and busy. Elliott had 2 minor moments of hurting himself but was soon up and running again very quickly. After Monkey Mates we went back to Andrea's flat for tea and Scalectrix and Andrea's Mum came over for a bit as well. Elliott and Harry got on very nicely after initially being a bit shy around each other. Harry is a few months younger than Elliott.

The living rainforest
General
Elliott was really good all day today, he even eat some peas at tea time.
Activities
In the morning we went to the living rainforest with Andrea. This was really good fun and Elliott was much more aware of the animals and plants there than on our last visit which was quite a long time ago. We also had a picnic lunch here.
In the afternoon we went to the soft play at Newbury Leisure Centre which was also really good fun.

Harry Higgins' birthday
General
Elliott was really good all day again today, he even left Harry Higgins house without any fuss despite really having enjoyed himself.
Activities
In the morning we played with Granny and did some colouring.
In the afternoon we went to see Harry Higgins on our way home because it was his birthday. Noah and Martha were also there as well as Bertie, Matt, Lara, Russ, Hayley and Jo. He had lots of fun playing and then some tea and cake and watched Tree Fu Tom with the others - at one point they all copied Tree Fu Tom's actions in front of the television together which was very cute. I think Harry is having a proper party next weekend so they were saying they would ask if you can make it.

Monkey World
General
Elliott was sick last night at around 11pm and there was quite a lot of sick, but after being cleaned up he went to sleep again very quickly and this morning said he felt better. He's been fine all day and eaten well, though only safe foods and no dairy. He was good for most of the day but before going out for tea he had a time out as he got upset saying he wanted to go to the park rather than to tea and then started being stroppy. He apologised at the end of the time out though and was fine through tea.
Activities
In the morning we went to Monkey World with the Sladens. This was really good fun. There were 3 adventure playgrounds where Elliott, Charlie and Poppy all played together. We also all had a picnic lunch and stayed there for quite a long time. He also enjoyed watching the monkeys, particularly the bigger ones who were playing and really funny. He was really well behaved and enjoyed himself.
When we got home we went up the road to the Woodfalls Inn with Granny for tea. He had fish fingers and ate well. He was a bit stroppy before we went (see above) and was a bit restless waiting for the food but overall was well behaved and we had a nice time.

Noisy Kids
General
Elliott was good all day and didn't get up until 7am this morning.
Activities
In the morning we went to an event at the Hexagon called "Noisy Kids" during which the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra played various super hero and television theme tunes. Andrea came with us and we took his ear protectors in case it was too loud. Generally he seemed to enjoy it and joined in with some moves and dancing that the narrator was teaching, but I think by the end it had gone on for a bit long for him. However he did say he enjoyed the instruments and Superman. Then we had lunch in John Lewis before joining Dave Read in the Nags Head for the end of the football, which was really good and family friendly and we were there just in time to see Liverpool win.
After that Andrea and Dave went home and we went to Basingstoke where we met up in Giraffe with Tim and Emily for a few hours. This was good fun and he was really well behaved, playing with toys with Emily, Tim and me. After that we drove back to Downton and by the time we got there it was time for tea and bedtime routine.

Shopping
General
Elliott was good for all of today, though did seem a bit tired at times and "needed" some ups when we walked back from town!
Activities
We went shopping today and he was really well behaved. We borrowed a significantly reduced Optimus Prime toy that he fell in love with. We also stumbled across a bouncy castle slide for holidaying kids and he was a bit shy at first but soon really got into it.
