Purple Mash

General 

Elliott was really good after school. He'd had noodles for lunch.

Activities

After school we went home and he had some toast before we went to his swimming lesson. The swimming lesson went really well and afterwards he had a shower and changed in to his pyjamas. After we got home he logged in to Purple Mash on the computer and made another presentation about animals showing me and Andrea how he was doing it. Then he did some drawings of Ben 10 characters before he brushed his bed and read more of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory before he went to sleep. 

Football training

General 

Elliott was good after school, but seemed quite tired at the end of football training and was a little upset he'd had to go in goal for some of the match, although after talking about taking turns he calmed down quickly. 

Activities

He came in to the playground with his Gangsta Granny forms and was very pleased to have them. After we got home he watched some Lego Ninjago, got changed for football training and had some crackers for tea. Then it was off to football training where he played really well in the game in defence but was then a bit disappointed to be in goal for the final part of the training. It was also quite a large open space playing on the grass which I think he enjoyed. After training he had a quick bath after we got home and then read some more of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to help get off to sleep. 

Car boot sale

General 

Elliott was good today.

Activities

In the morning we left early to go and help at the car boot sale at Hawkedon. Elliott helped me direct the cars with sellers to where they could set up selling from and then helped me on the barbeque making bacon rolls. Mrs Wheeler then asked if he wanted to go on the computer in her classroom while I carried on with selling bacon rolls so he went on Purple Mash and made some presentation slides about animals. After I'd finished helping we had a look round the sales and found some very cheap Ben 10, Doctor Who and Star Wars toys. After we'd bought the spoils we headed home and he did the first lot of his homework before playing with his new toys. We had roast pork for lunch and he had broccoli with his roast potatoes. He made a little bit of a fuss about eating it but not a lot and then he just got on with it.

After lunch he did another lot of his homework before we watched Blue Peter and got his Mondrian picture ready to send to Blue Peter. Then we headed out to the skate park on his scooter and posted the picture to Blue Peter on the way. After some very confident scootering in the skate park with his highest jumps yet we headed for The Ship to meet up with Andrea and Graham Jenkins. We watched the end of the FA Cup semi-final with them because they're Crystal Palace fans. After the football we scootered home for luncheon meat sandwiches before his bath. After his bath we looked up facts and knowledge about Amsterdam on the iPad for his home learning before he brushed his teeth, read some more of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and went to sleep.

Lego Ninjago

General 

Elliott was really good after we picked him up.

Activities

After we got home Elliott played with his Ben 10 toys and watched some Lego Ninjago on the iPad. Then we had chicken fajitas for tea. After tea he had a bath and then read some of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory before it was time for bed. 

Piet Mondrian

General 

Elliott was good after school and brought home some Maths times tables questions he'd done where he'd only got 5 wrong out of about 40. 

Activities

When I picked him up it was raining quite heavily so we went straight home and watched some Wolfblood, Blue Peter and played with Lego and Thunderbirds. He had toast and cereal for tea and after eating he drew a really good picture using a ruler and pen based, I think, on Dutch artist Piet Mondrian (he was also talking about Van Gogh from his bookmark and they've been looking at artists and Mrs Davies has told him the crazy story of Van Gogh). Then it was bath time and after his bath he read some Jack Stalwart to himself. 

Shoelace tying

General 

Elliott was good today and said he'd enjoyed school. 

Activities

After school there was no swimming today as their re-furbishing Carnival Pool. So on the way home we popped in to Lidl to do some food shopping and he was really helpful. Then, after we got home, we went outside to play football, cricket and to fly his drone and Amelia saw us playing and came out to join us for a game of cricket. We practiced tying his shoelaces on the way out to play and he tied one on his own for the first time with me (the biggest stumbling block now is pulling the second loop through the other loop the right way). Then it was time for homemade ham and cheese toastie for tea before the latest Wolfblood episode, bath, teeth and bed time. After he'd got in to bed he read the end of his Jack Stalwart book on his own before it was time to go to sleep.

Outdoor training

General 

Elliott was good today after school. He said that at school he'd had a geography lesson about the differences between Holland and Britain, an English lesson where they had to write a story with a wish in it and PHSE where they'd talked about chores and helping out with chores. 

Activities

After I picked him up we went home for tea and watched some Blue Peter and Wolfblood. He had toast for tea. Then he got ready for outdoor football training and we set off for Palmer Park. All the boys seemed to really enjoy being outdoors with more space and they spent longer playing a game than normal and less time doing training exercises. After training we went home and he had a bath and brushed his teeth before he read some of Jack Stalwart to himself.

Cricket

General 

Elliott was really good today. 

Activities

After I picked him up we went shopping in Sainsburys. He was very good and helped me find some items before he bought a small Lego City Boat set with his pocket money. On our way home we stopped by Andrea's Dad's house as Graham, Harry and Jack Jenkins were there. We went in to the garden and played cricket which was good fun and after we went inside and played a puzzle game and musical statues. After we got home we had chicken breast, baked potato and broccoli for tea and Elliott eat his broccoli with no problems and after being unsure initially also eat the inside of his jacket potato and said he liked it (but not the skin). Then it was bath time and after his bath we watched some of the last And and Dec Saturday Night Takeaway of the series before he brushed his teeth, we read some more of Jack Stalwart together and he went to bed.

Dentist

General 

Elliott was really good today.

Activities

In the morning we headed to Wokingham skate park and Elliott spent lots of time practicing on his scooter there to make up for the disappointment of such a short go yesterday. There were some bigger boys there but they had quite long breaks imbetween riding their bikes so there was plenty of opportunity for Elliott to practice on the different ramps and when they were riding around there was a bowl that they weren't using where Elliott could scoot. Then we headed in to town to pick up a few bits and pieces and Elliott bought a new Rubix style cube with some money Grandpa had given him. Then we headed back to the skate park for more scootering and this time there was no-one there at all and he got really confident riding around a circuit he'd made up. He even made a video for Harry Higgins to watch:

After quite a lot of scootering we headed home for lunch and had rolls with luncheon meat.

After lunch we watched some of The Lego Movie before going to the Dentist for Elliott's annual check up. The Dentist was very happy with Elliott's teeth and the only thing she said was to make sure he keeps brushing towards the back of his teeth. After the Dentist we went home and then did some reading. Elliott read some of his Minecraft instruction book and then we watched some CBBC before tea. Elliott had sausages with rice for tea and finished off his final Easter Egg for pudding. Then it was bath time before teeth brushing and another chapter of Jack Stalwart read by me before bed time.
