Dentist

General 

Elliott was very good today.

Activities

After breakfast we drove back to Wokingham where Elliott had a Dentist's check up. She said his teeth were good but that he should make sure he brushes for 2 minutes twice a day. After the Dentists we drove back to the new house in Arborfield and had sandwiches for lunch.

After lunch Elliott helped me to unpack and also rode his bike around the field. Then Graham Jenkins came round to see us on his bike so he showed Elliott some good cycling spots around Arborfield. Then Elliott showed me the playgrounds and the cycling spots he'd found before we had chicken fajitas for tea. Then it was bath time and he brushed his teeth for 2 minutes. Then he watched some Steve Backshall on the iPad before bed time.

Southampton

General 

Elliott was really good today.

Activities

After breakfast we had a lazy morning and we talked about respect for home learning. Elliott talked about not taking the last biscuit but asking anyone else if they want it first and I talked about people not having the same opinion but being able to agree that it's ok to have a different opinion. He made a poster showing someone saying "Pokemon sucks" and someone else saying "that's ok", and someone offering around the last biscuit. We had crackers with cheese for lunch.

After lunch we went to Southampton and looked around the shops. We bought some new sports clothes and also caught a lot of Pokemon as there are Halloween bonuses at the moment. After we got home he had his bath before we had fish and chips for tea. Then he cleaned his teeth and went to bed.

Harry Higgins

General 

Elliott was good today and although he was very excitable with Harry Higgins he knew when it was fine to be silly and when it was better to be a bit calmer (for example when walking through Salisbury).

Activities

After breakfast we headed in to Salisbury and met Harry and Matt Higgins at the skate park by Salisbury College. The boys did some scootering in the skate park for a while and then went Pokemon hunting in the park. Then we walked in to the middle of Salisbury and picked up a lot of Pokemon on the way and had some Gym battles:

After we got to Salisbury we had some drinks in Boston Tea Party and then met Granny and went to Pizza Express for lunch, where Elliott had his normal dough balls, pasta burro and chocolate brownie:

The boys were pretty well behaved during lunch and managed to keep the madness down to a minimum.

After lunch Granny went to see an art exhibition in Salisbury Museum while we walked back to the cars in the park by Salisbury College playing more Pokemon Go as we went:

After we arrived back a the cars Harry and Matt Higgins went home and Elliott and I popped back to Salisbury town centre for hair cuts and to pick up Granny. Then we headed back to Granny's house for tea (Elliott had some ham sandwiches). Then it was time for his bath, before he brushed his teeth and then did some reading and iPad watching before bed time.

Downton

General 

Elliott was really good on the car journey home. 

Activities

After swimming we drove straight to Granny's house in Downton. Unfortunately the journey took quite a long time due to traffic hold ups and a road in the New Forest being closed so after we arrived he had a quick snack (biscuits), bed time squash, brushed his teeth and then it was straight to bed. 

New bedroom

General 

Elliott was really good today.

Activities

After football we headed home via Sainsburys where Elliott had a ham and cheese toastie. Elliott was very happy that he'd headed the ball in football and had enjoyed the game even though Panthers lost.

After we left Sainsburys we went to the the new house where Elliott's room was ready for him apart from we haven't put any posters or pictures up yet. He was pleased with his new room and that it was quite big. After he'd played with some of his Lego toys for a while we went to a friends house for tea with John, Ruth, Alice and Hetty. Elliott had fun and the children had chicken, beans and chips for tea. As we stayed a little later he had a snooze in his pyjamas in the spare room there before we headed home.

Burger King

General 

Elliott was quite upset after school today as he was worried he wouldn't be able to take his Clarinet home as he'd lost his letter. 

Activities

After hockey club it was straight to swimming. During the journey he was quite upset about having lost his Clarinet letter so will look in to that tomorrow. However swimming seemed to really cheer him up and after swimming we had a Burger King tea. After we got home I went out to the Reading verses Aston Villa game and Andrea says he was really good and did lots of reading of his school book before bed time. 

Butterfly

General 

Elliott was happy after school today as he'd scored a goal in after school hockey club. The only slight down side was that someone at school had been talking about the "killer clown" craze and he seemed a bit worried. Miss Woods had told them all that it was people who'd taken a joke to far and I told him they weren't real so hopefully he won't be too worried.

Activities

After hockey we went straight to swimming and this week they spent almost the whole lesson practicing Butterfly and he was swimming really well, better than I ever managed to swim Butterfly. Then he had a shower after swimming and we headed home for a ham sandwich and cheese sandwich. After tea we headed back to Hawkedon for the values based education explanation evening only for me to discover we were a week early, so we headed back home via Sainsburys where we bought him a packed lunch for his trip to the Royal Albert Hall tomorrow. After we got home he read some more of his school book and recorded it in his reading record before bed time squash, teeth brushing and then time for bed. 

Lego truck and boat set

General 

Elliott was in a good mood after school today and said he'd enjoyed choir practice today.

Activities

After school we went straight home and Elliott made a Lego City truck and boat set that Grandpa had brought home for him from Hong Kong and gave to him yesterday during lunch. Then we had ham and cheese rolls while we watched Ninja Warrior UK before he got changed for football training and went outside to do some hockey practice with him new hockey ball. After he'd practiced for a while he came back in and read some of his school book before we went to football training. Football training went quite well tonight and he concentrated well for most of the session. They practiced passing and Sally seemed quite pleased with them all. After we got home he had a very quick bath and then it was straight to bed. 

Thames Valley mini hockey tournament

General 

Elliott was good again today.

Activities

We got up and ready early for a Sunday to get to the hockey tournament on time. He really seemed to enjoy playing hockey and representing South Berkshire as well as beginning to get to know some his team mates better:

After we got home he did another lot of his times table and division homework and then he practiced shooting and dribbling with his new hockey ball. Then we drove to The White Hart in Sherfield for lunch with Granny and Grandpa. Elliott had a cheeseburger with chips and then chocolate fudge cake for pudding. 

After lunch when we got home he did his final round of times table and division homework and afterwards we watched some Ninja Warrior UK. Then he had luncheon meat sandwiches for tea before bath time and then we did his home learning which was researching scorpions and how they sting. He made some notes for his home learning and his hand writing has really improved. Then we watched some of the Strictly Come Dancing results show before he brushed his teeth and read some of his school book before going to sleep.

Man of the match

General 

Elliott was very good today.

Activities

After breakfast and getting changed into his football kit Elliott did his Maths homework (times table and division sums). He was a little reluctant at first but he got on with it much quicker than he used to and did very well. Part of the homework is doing the sums 3 different times so we'll do another lot tomorrow. After his homework he played Pokemon Go for a while and then it was time to go to football. Football was good this week. He started on the bench but then came on as a defensive midfielder in the first half. In the second half he played out on the right. He did some good tackling and also some good passing and we've been talking about how important passing is and not to worry the other people don't pass to him when he's in good positions because that's them not playing like a team. The Panthers lost but to a team that I think would have won by far more a year ago. Afterwards Sally had a chat with them about passing more which I was very pleased to hear and then she gave Elliott the man of the match award for his hard work. On the way back from football we popped in to Tescos for some shopping and had lunch at Costa Coffee where Elliott had a ham and cheese toastie.

After we got home Elliott had his bath as he'd got quite muddy during football. Then we headed in to Wokingham where we went to Costa Coffee and (because they have wifi) we were able to take my old iPhone and play Pokemon Go together for a while. Then we headed home and he watched some Pokemon on the iPad while I made spaghetti bolognese for tea. After tea we watched Strictly Come Dancing for a bit and he had his bed time squash, before it was time for bed.

Blue Peter with Dan TDM

General 

Elliott was really good after school today.

Activities

After school we went to Sainsbury's on the way home and he bought a Lego Star Wars magazine with his pocket money. After we got home he made the mini lego At-At Fighter that came with the Star Wars Lego magazine and then we watched Blue Peter (which guest starred Vlogger Dan TDM, which Elliott was very excited about). Then he had sandwiches for tea before playing a Pokemon game on the iPad (not Pokemon Go). After he'd played the game he had his bath and then read his school book while he drank his bedtime squash. Then he watched some more iPad before it was bed time. 

Pikachu and Pokeball

General 

Elliott was good after school today and had enjoyed after school hockey club where he'd learnt to Indian dribble while running.

Activities

After school we went straight to his swimming lesson and he did really well. After swimming he briefly said he had a sore tummy before we got home. After we got home he said he felt a lot better again and then I remembered his Pikachu Pokemon figure and ball had arrived which he was very pleased with. He had cheese sandwiches for tea while we watched Ninja Warrior UK. After tea he watched some Pokemon on the iPad before he brushed his teeth (he'd had a shower after swimming). Then before bed time he read some of his school book and then it was time to go to sleep.
