Guinea pigs

General 

Elliott was in a really good mood after hockey club today and was excited to show me his new Doctor Who Alien Attax cards and binder. 

Activities

Swimming went well and afterwards he had a shower and got changed in to his pyjamas. Then we went to Subway for tea and he had ham, pepperoni and cheese on 9 grain honey oat. After Subway we went to Quinten and Tanya's house to pick up a table and chairs I'd left there and he enjoyed saying hello the new guinea pigs and feeding them cucumber. When the car was packed we headed straight home and he had some bedtime squash before brushing his teeth and reading his Pokemon encyclopedia.

New Carnival Pool car park

General 

Elliott was good after school today. 

Activities

After hockey club we went straight to swimming where the new Carnival Pool car park is now open. He did well in swimming and had a shower afterwards. On the way home we did some quick shopping in Tescos before getting home and having ham rolls for tea. After tea he watched Doctor Who on the iPad and then brushed his teeth using a new teeth brushing time measurement app we've downloaded. After his teeth he read more of his Rogue One book again.

Sports Day and Dentist

General 

Elliott was really good after school today. 

Activities

Sports Day was really well organised again this year I thought and Elliott enjoyed himself. Shame Kestrels came second in such a close finish overall. After school we went to the Dentist for his check up and she said his gums were fine and just reminded him to spend 2 minutes brushing twice a day. Then we headed home and because football training was cancelled due to the heat we played football on the field outside and he rode around the fields in his scooter. Then he made friends with one of the neighbour's children called Harry and they played together for a while. Next he came in for ham sandwiches and a gold bar for tea before having a cool bath, brushing his teeth and reading more of his Rogue One book.

Father's Day

General 

Elliott was mainly good today. He did get obsessed with Doctor Who Alien Attax card buying for a while and then he got upset about different options and not getting the best value for money. We had a chat about realising how lucky he is to have so many things and how it's better to enjoy what he has than be upset about what he hasn't. We also talked about how lots of really good things don't cost money and how some children have very little. I also told him that if he couldn't be grown up about pocket money and saving maybe it was too early for him to have pocket money. He did understand and apologised and then didn't mention the cards again for the rest of the day. He also apologised a few more times during the day.

Activities

In the morning after I picked him up we nipped to Sainsburys where he had a snack and I had breakfast. Then we headed home and Granny came to visit. He practiced his Clarinet and played her some of his exercises and then he went scootering around the field while Granny walked around with him. Next we headed to Pizza Express in Wokingham where we met up with Andrea, Graham, Richard, Harry and Jack Jenkins for lunch. He had dough balls, pasta burro and a chocolate brownie.

After lunch we went home and he gave me a Father's Day card and some records for Father's Day which was really nice. He signed the card "even though you don't believe in Father's Day" which we both thought was funny. Next he played his Clarinet some more, watched some Doctor Who and we also watched some hockey. Then he played with his Doctor Who Tardis interior for a while before he played more Clarinet. We had sliced beef and ham rolls for tea and then he brushed his teeth. Then we did his home learning which was researching how to look after his teeth and how animals look after their teeth. He was really patient and tried hard with his home learning. Then he brushed his teeth and read some more Rogue One before it was time for bed.

Post box

General 

Elliott was good after school today. He fell off his scooter and grazed his knee, but once we'd cleaned up the cut he was fine.

Activities

After school we popped in to Sainsburys for some shopping and then went home and he did some Clarinet practice. Then we went out and he scootered around the field and we went the post box (with him on his scooter). He fell off his scooter at one point while he was scootering around the field so we came in and cleaned up his knee. After we got back from the post box we had ham rolls for tea and watched Blue Peter before he had his bath. After his bath he had his bed time squash, played some more Clarinet, brushed his teeth and read more of his Rogue One book.

Clarinet solo

General 

Elliott was mixed after school today. He was very happy that he'd played two Clarinet pieces for the class, but he was upset that he hadn't been picked for the school hockey team after trials and was also upset that people had been teasing him about that and in class. I think he was quite tired but we talked about how people sometimes don't achieve things they want to but keeping going and trying even harder is the best way to deal with it. We also talked about how people sometimes teased other people because sometimes they don't feel good about themselves inside so it makes them feel better being mean.

Activities

We went to swimming lessons after hockey club and then, after a shower, we headed home. Elliott had a ham sandwich and toast for tea before we read about Berkshire online for home learning. Then he got a little bit upset about being teased at school but after some talking and cuddling he seemed happier, brushed his teeth and read more of Rogue One before bed time.

Lasagna

General 

Elliott was really good after school today. He had lasagna for lunch and said he mostly ate the cheese and meat.

Activities

After hockey club we went to Elliott's swimming lesson where they focused on Butterfly. Then, after he'd had a shower, we went home and had toast for tea while we watched an old Doctor Who. Then it was time for bed and he brushed his teeth and read more of Rogue One.

Football training in the rain

General 

Elliott was good after school today. Before school he was a bit worried again about being teased and said he had butterflies in his tummy but when I collected him he was really happy and said he'd had a good day.

Activities

After collecting Elliott from school we went home and he did some Clarinet practice before getting changed for football training. Then he had ham sandwiches for tea before we went to football training, which turned out to be quite wet. He looked like he was getting stuck in during training though and afterwards said he'd enjoyed it. After training we went home and he had a bath, his bed time squash, brushed his teeth and then read more of his Rogue One book before bed time.

Smallmead tip

General 

Elliott was good  today. Before bed time he was talking about being worried that Torfiq would tease him when he goes back to school so we talked about being resilient and telling Torfiq to use respect. Fortunately earlier during tea he's been talking about how much he was looking forward to going back to school.

Activities

In the morning I picked him up from Graham Jenkins and we went to the park with Harry and Jack Jenkins for a few hours. Elliott showed Jack how to play hockey and we had fun playing dodge ball and other games:

After the park we popped in to Tescos and then went home for ham rolls for lunch.

After lunch we watched Doctor Who and when that had finished we played with his Doctor Who toys and he made a Doctor Who animation. Then we went to the tip at Smallmead with some things to throw away. When we got back we had chicken fajitas for tea and then he had his teeth, bed time squash and brushed his teeth. He read more of his Rogue One book before it was time to go to bed. 

Twyfest

General 

Elliott was good again today.

Activities

In the morning after breakfast we packed and left for Reading and football. I thought Elliott played really well in the match after we got there and it was good to see him getting so much of the ball in central midfield. He took his goal really well but I thought the shot when he hit the bar was even better. He also really worked hard and covered a lot of space and I thought he deserved time at the back to recover at the end It was also good to see Panthers win again. After football he had a burger for lunch and we headed home for a bath and to get changed.

When he'd changed and was ready we went to Twyfest for the afternoon. We watched a band in the marquee who had saxophonists as well as guitars and a female singer and we both enjoyed their music. There were other people there we knew including Beth and Emma Griggs and Alice and Hetty Robertson and Elliott talked to them and watched them dance (he didn't fancy dancing himself). After the band finished we went home for ham rolls for tea and then he went to Graham Jenkin's house in Wokingham for a sleep over with Harry and Jack Jenkins. When I left him they were playing together and there was a lot of laughing.

Alun Chine

General 

Elliott was good again today.

Activities

In the morning after breakfast he did some more Clarinet practice and then we went to Alun Chine beach in Bournemouth. Elliott scootered and I walked to the pier where we had fun in an amusement arcade and he beat me at air hockey. Then we went back to the chine and he played in the shallows and we built sandcastles:

After he’d built some moats and filled them with sea water we went to a beach side Harvester for lunch and he had chicken strips, chips and peas with a chocolate fudge cake for pudding. 

After lunch we he played in the play ground at Alun Chine which now has logs to climb on:

At about 3.30pm we headed home and when we got home he did some more Clarinet practice. Then we went to the skate park in the park up the road from Granny and Grandpa’s house where he did more scootering and he invented a new course around the skate park for himself. He was also upset that someone had been littering in the skate park. Next we went home and had tea which was chicken nuggets, chips and peas for him, although he was not upset to have similar again after lunch. After tea we talked about his new value “integrity” and then he had his bath, drank some squash, brushed his teeth, watched part of Jumanji on the iPad and then read some more of his Doctor Who book before going to sleep.

All The Cool Stuff

General 

Elliott was really good today. He did hurt his foot in the morning while we were playing football and in the afternoon he mentioned it a few times but he said it was better at bed time.

Activities

After breakfast Elliott did some Clarinet practice and then we headed off to the skate park in Fordingbridge with his scooter. We met Tim Chandler there and Elliott made friends with a fellow scooterer who showed him how to do some tricks. At one point we also played piggy in the middle with a football with Tim which was good fun. Then we headed to the superhero and cult toy shop “All The Cool Stuff” and Granny bought Elliott the third Doctor’s sonic screwdriver and we had some coffee and lemonade in a Fordingbridge the shop. Next we went home for ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch.

After lunch we had some relaxation time and Elliott watched some Spounge Bob Square Pants. Then we went to Salisbury and, after waiting for quite a long time, had hair cuts. We headed home and had past with bacon and tomato sauce before Elliott had his bath. After his bath he had some orange squash, brushed his teeth and then he read a Ben 10 book he’d found before going to sleep.
