The Boss Baby

General 

Elliott was mainly good today. He did get upset at one point because now he has his Doctor Who watch, which I wish I had hidden, he seems obsessed with taking it to holiday club. He did calm down quite quickly though. 

Activities

In the morning we went to Kid's Club at the Odeon in Bracknell and watched The Boss Baby which was good. Then we wandered in to Bracknell and he got his hair cut (just a trim and tidy up). Next we went home for hot dogs for lunch.

After lunch he went cycling, played his Clarinet, played some chess with me, watched Mr Peabody and Sherman and made some more slides for his Doctor Who powerpoint presentation. Then he had some toast and his bath before having some bed time water (we're moving on from squash) and brushing his teeth. Finally he read some more of Billionaire Boyt before bed time.

Last school day of the year

General 

Elliott was in good spirits after school today and sounded like he hadn't had as many problems with teasing. He was sad to leave Year 4 but excited to be about to start Year 5.

Activities

After school we came home, he had a sausage roll and toast for tea and he went cycling for a while before playing with Jack Jenkins as Jack Jenkins and his mother popped round to say hello. Then we went to swimming and he had a shower afterwards. After swimming we came home and he went cycling again before making some more slides in his Doctor Who presentation. Then he brushed his teeth, read some of Billionaire Boy and went to sleep.

The end of life part 1

General 

Elliott was good after school today. He talked less about people being mean to him, though did say something, but it felt like he'd had a better day. Unfortunately I was late to pick him up because I didn't realise hockey after school club had finished but he wasn't upset.

Activities

After school we went to swimming and had more time than normal. Swimming went well and he passed his breast stroke. After having a shower we headed home from swimming and he made his own ham sandwiches to show me how he'd learnt at Ufton Court. Then he went cycling around the area fields to the local school with Andrea. After his cycling he got ready for bed, played some Clarinet and watched some iPad. Then he uploaded his Minecraft animation "The end of life part 1" to You Tube:

Then he had some bed time squash, brushed his teeth and read some of his new school book "Astrosaurs " before going to sleep. 

Football training

General 

Elliott was really good after school today. He did say some of the older children had been a bit mean to him and it sounds like someone said something a bit mean, but he seemed to move past it quickly, especially when I pointed out that older children are normally like that to everyone.

Activities

After school we went straight home, he changed in to his football kit, played some Clarinet and then we had ham sandwiches for tea. Then we left early for football training so we could pick up his serviced bike and go to Woodford Park for a pre-training cycle. He cycled around the whole park and up and down a grass bank and seemed pleased his bike was usable again. He did fall off at one point, but got up quickly and no damage, beyond bruising, was done. Then it was time for training and they played a game. He played well (when he got the ball) and was the only one who could tackle Spencer. After training we went home and he rod his bike around the rugby pitches outside before his bath. Then he had his bed time squash, read some more of Rogue One and went to sleep.

South Berkshire hockey summer skills

General 

Elliott was very good again today. 

Activities

In the morning we went to one of the South Berkshire summer skills hockey training sessions we'd booked on. They did 3 exercises during the training (crossing and scoring, passing and marking) and he really enjoyed it (after being a bit nervous at first as it was mixed ages and not many people he knew were there). His dribbling looks like it's really improved with school training as well. After the hockey we came home and had ham rolls for lunch.

After lunch he played some Clarinet and played with some of his old Ben 10 toys. Then we went to Henry Street graden centre with Andrea and had a look around there and he enjoyed looking at the fish in the Maidenhead fish centre there. When we got home we heard about the new Doctor Who being female and he was a bit taken aback at first, but then seemed pleased and he made a Doctor Who poster. Next he started making a Minecraft animation and asked me to help him. He even wrote a story for it before starting to film and we've finished part 1 but there's more to come. Then he had chicken and rice for tea and after tea he played more Clarinet before having his bath. After his bath he finished his Doctor Who poster before having bed time squash and then reading some of his Rogue One book before bed time.

Despicable Me 3

General 

Elliott was really good today. 

Activities

After breakfast we played some games of chess and then we went to Wokingham to do some shopping. After we'd finished shopping we had lunch at Nandos and Elliott had a chicken burger with chips.

After lunch we popped in to see Andrea's Dad for an hour before heading to Bracknell Odeon to see Despicable Me 3 which we all enjoyed. After the film we came home and he played his Clarinet for bit before we had ham and mushroom pizza for tea (I didn't tell him about the mushrooms until afterwards and he seemed quite surprised). After tea he had his bath and then bedtime squash while he watched the iPad. Then he bruhed his teeth and finished reading his Beast Quest book before going to sleep.

Bike servicing

Ufton Court

General 

Elliott was happy after school today, particularly as he has no homework or home learning for the weekend.

Activities

After we got home he had ham sandwiches for tea. Then we headed across the park to Harry and Jack Jenkins house where he played with Harry and Jack and had lots of fun on their trampoline. After an hour or so we went home and took Elliott's bike to a local bike shop so it can be serviced ready for the summer. When we got back he had his bath, watched some iPad, brushed his teeth and then read some more of his Beast Quest book before going to sleep.

Viking raids

General 

Elliott was very good when I picked him up from hockey today, though tired after his stay at Ufton Court. He talked lots about the raids at Ufton Court they did and how he was a King and Viking exploring and he said he'd enjoyed lots of things. He did say he was teased a bit and that they hadn't had lots of sleep as people kept whispering "is anyone still awake", But overall he sounds like he had a great time.

Activities

After hockey we went straight to swimming and he did lots of Butterfly. Then we headed home and unpacked and he had pasta with tomato and bacon sauce for tea as he was hungry. After tea we did his home learning (talking about transition to Year 5), he had some bedtime squash and he brushed his teeth as he was already in his pyjamas after swimming shower. Then he watched some Doctor Who on the iPad and read some Beast Quest before going to sleep early. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep.

Ufton Court

General 

Elliott was in good spirits today, though a little nervous about the trip when he first got up.

Activities

After breakfast and getting to school Elliott lost his nerves and was excited about going on the trip when he saw everyone in the hall waiting to go. He waved from the coach as it passed by and had a big smile on his face.

Chess

General 

Elliott was good today. He did talk about being nervous before Ufton Court trip a few times but he said he was nervous and excited at the same time and he was quite relaxed about the trip at bed time.

Activities

After breakfast he made some more Pokemon slides for his powerpoint presentation, drew the inside of the Tardis and played lots of Clarinet. He also watched an episode of Doctor Who and played some Pokemon Go. He had roast chicken, roast potatoes and broccoli for lunch with a mini dark Magnum for pudding.

After lunch we found an old chess set and he started playing chess as Thomas has been teaching him. He played a couple of games against Andrea and me and then it was time to head back. After we got home we packed for Ufton Court together and then he played more chess against himself. Then we had cheese rolls for tea and after tea he had his bath. When he was dry and in his pyjamas we played another game of chess (which we drew) and watche a Pokemon episode. Then he had his bed time squash, brushed his teeth and read more of his Beast Quest school book before it was time to go to sleep.

Joesph Lannoy

General 

Elliott was really good today and the people we were with all commented on how well behaved but funny he was.

Activities

After breakfast and getting dressed we went to the skate park in Downton recreation ground and did some Pokemon Go hunting on our way and our way back (we also took part in a new raid together and won). He also played the Clarinet and practiced some of his exercises as well as developing a way to play "I am the Doctor" as well. He also made more slides for his Pokemon powerpoint presentation. Then he had ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch.

After lunch we went to Christchurch to visit Graham, Anthea and Joesph Lannoy who are over visitng from Hong Kong. There were vaious other people there with various other children and, even though they were all younger, Elliott played with them and got on really well with them. We went to the local park and played some hockey and football as well as playing on the swings and play equipment as well. On our way home we had MacDonalds for tea and Elliott had a chicken mcnuggets happy meal. After we got home he played his Clarinet some more and then did some more Pokemon slides before having a quick bath. After his bath he had some bed time squash and then he brushed his teeth and read some more Beast Quest before going to sleep.

School report

General 

Elliott was really good after school today. It was also the day we got his school report and it was really good saying he's on track,  contributing, keen to learn, good fun and Miss Woods even mentioned enjoying chatting about Doctor Who with him. There are some ideas for where to improve but it sounds like he's had a really good year overall.

Activities

After school we drove straight to Downton and he made a PowerPoint slide show about Pokemon. He had chicken nuggets, chips and peas for tea before his bath. After his bath he brushed his teeth and read some more of his Beastquest school book before bed time.

Digestive system

General 

Elliott was good after school today. 

Activities

After swimming and a shower we headed home. When we got home Elliott played his Clarinet for a while and then he started making a Doctor Who slide show on the laptop in PowerPoint. Then he had toast for tea and after we researched the digestive system for home learning. Then he brushed his teeth and read some of his Beastquest school book before bed time.
