Transformers Age Of Extinction

General 

Elliott was good today. 

Activities

We had a lazy morning in pyjamas today and watched Transformers Age Of Extinction on Netflix. He also played with his Transformer toys and set up scenes with them. Then we had luncheon meat sandwiches for lunch.

After lunch he went for a bike ride round the fields outside the house while I ran around them. After we got back he played more with his Transformers toys and we played a new game of chess where we had two sets on the board each at once (the winner was the first one to take both the opposition Kings). We had spaghetti bolognese for tea and he played Clarinet after tea. Then it was time for his bath and after his bath he brushed his teeth, watched some more Transformers Prime on the iPad and read some of his Transformers annual before it was time to go to sleep.

Return to Gatwick

General 

Elliott was really good today on the flight home and had no problems with the journey. 

Activities

After our last buffet breakfast we got on the coach to the airport and then checked our bags in and went through security. Then it was time for our flight and Elliott read the whole of his Switch Alligator Action book again during the flight. When we touched down in Gatwick and collected our bags we headed to the terminal to get some sandwiches for lunch.

After our sandwiches we picked up the car and drove home. Once we got home we unpacked and Elliott played with Doctor Who toys and watched Transformers Prime on the iPad. Then we had sausages and chips for tea before he watched some of the Liverpool verses Hoffenheim football match and then went to bed.

Zak's Family Tavern

General 

Elliott was good today. 

Activities

After buffet breakfast we went to the beach for the morning and bought a ball to play catch with while we messed around in the sea. Then we went back to the hotel for buffet lunch.

After lunch Elliott and I played table tennis and he beat me two games to one. Then we headed for the second pool in the hotel for the first time and enjoyed more swimming, diving and jumping in. At the end of the day on our way back to the hotel room we went to the gym and then got ready to go out for the last evening. We went back to Zak's Family Tavern for tea and Elliott had grilled chicken, chips and chocolate souffle again. Then it was time to go back to the hotel for our last night of sleep in Corfu.

Paxos and Antipaxos

General 

Elliott was good today and really enjoyed being on a boat. 

Activities

We went to the breakfast buffet early today so we could get picked up early and taken to the dock to get on a boat ride to the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos. After about an hour on the boat we got to the island of Paxos and sailed along the coast to look at the caves. At one point the boat even sailed in to one of the bigger caves (Poseidon's Cave). Then the boat headed to the next door island of Antipaxos where it stopped just off the beach for some swimming time. After being a bit nervous at first Elliott plucked up the courage to jump off the side of the boat in to the sea and once he'd done it once he went back to do it lots of times:

After swimming time we got back on the boat and had a packed lunch of ham and cheese sandwiches.

After lunch the boat headed back to Paxos where it stopped in the harbour by Gaois and we got off and had a few hours looking around the shops and grabbing a refreshing drink in a harbour side cafe:

The journey back on the boat was quite choppy and Elliott really enjoyed the boat swaying and was giggling and laughing a lot. When we got back to the hotel we had a buffet tea before heading back to the evening entertainment which was karaoke night which we enjoyed. Then it was back to the hotel for reading (where Elliott finished his Doctor Who book) and sleep.

Corfu Town

General 

Elliott was really good again today. He was a bit sad at times that Tyrell had gone home, but he didn't let it get him down too much. 

Activities

After the normal buffet breakfastwe headed to the pool for some swimming and then Elliott went back to Mini Club in the morning to finish his Doctor Who t-shirt. Once it was finished and drying we went to the buffet lunch at the hotel. 

After lunch we went to a bus stop by the hotel and got on the bus to Corfu Town (a journey of about half an hour). When we got to Corfu Town we headed for the Old Town and had a refreshing drink in Bar Bristol there:

After our drink we went to look around the Old Fortress which had lots of interesting different buildings and a climb to a high point over looking the sea:

Then we went back to the old town and had tea in a tavern there with Elliott having grilled chicken, chips and chocolate ice cream. Then we headed back to the bus stop and caught the bus back to the hotel just in time for Elliott to collect his t-shirt given out just before the evening entertainment began. The evening entertainment was Latin Dancing that he quite enjoyed, though not as much as the Fakir man. After the dancing finished we retired to our hotel room, he read some more of his Doctor Who book and then it was time to go to sleep. 

Hotel dance

General 

Elliott was well beahved again today and was excited again about seeing Tyrell. 

Activities

After the normal buffet breakfast we went to the pool again for the morning. Tyrell had gone to Corfu Town for the morning but Elliott still enjoyed lots of swimming and jumping in the pool as well as reading more of his Doctor Who book. Then we headed to the beach for the afternoon and had lunch in a tavern by the beach for a change (Elliott had chicken nuggets, chips and chocolate ice-cream).

After lunch we settled down on the beach and then headed in to the sea for lots of swimming and fun:

At 5pm we headed for a beach side bar to watch Liverpool verses Crystal Palace and Ellliott watched some of the game and also read more of his Doctor Who book. After the football we went back to the hotel for a buffet tea before going to the evening entertainment again where we met back up with Tyrell. The entertainment was a Mr Apollo Palace competition which didn't capture the boys imagination as much as the Fakir man from the previous night so they played table tennis and messed around together. At the end of the evening they did, however, both take part in the hotel dance (a dance performed by everyone led by the Animation Team at the end of each evening's entertainment) and after that Elliott said goodbye to Tyrell because it was the last night of his holiday. Then it was back to the hotel room for bed time.

Fakir man

General 

Elliott was good again today and made friends with a 10 year old boy from England called Tyrell. 

Activities

After a buffet breakfast we headed for the pool and Elliott jumped straight in to do some swimming. While he was in the pool he made friends with Tyrell who was throwing a ball around and they had a lot of fun together. Tyrell also taught Elliott how to dive and somersault in to the pool which he really loved doing:

As the morning turned to afternoon we headed to the hotel restaurant for a buffet lunch.

After lunch Elliott spent some more time playing in the pool with Tyrell and then we went to explore the hotel Mini Club. The activity there was making your own t-shirt and he started to design his own Doctor Who t-shirt with the help of Chloe from the Animation Team. By the time Mini Club closed at 5pm he still hadn't finished painting his design so we agreed to go back and finish the t-shirt another day and then went to the gym. After the gym we had tea in the restaurant buffet before heading to the evening entertainment which was a mystical Fakir man fire breathing, stepping on glass and lying a bed of nails. Tyrell was also at the entertainment and they both watched the Fakir man together and were amazed and fascinated by his peformance. After the Fakir man finished his performance it was time to head back to the hotel room, read more of his new Doctor Who book and go to sleep.

Messonghi

General 

Elliott was very good today and excited to be abroad. 

Activities

After a buffet breakfast we went exploring Messonghi which is a small village with a beach, lots of taverns and fishing. It was very hot but we were all wearing lots of sun cream and we found a shop where Elliott bought a snorkel and a Squirtel Pokemon key ring with 10 euros that Andrea's Dad had given him before we left. Then we headed back to the hotel for a buffet lunch.

We went back to the pool after lunch and Elliott did a lot of swimming and jumping in. He also found a playground in the hotel and played on the swings. Then we went to the gym again before we headed out to a tavern we'd seen when exploring for tea called Zak's Family Tavern:

He had garlic bread (which was very strong and so he only had some), fried chicken with chips and a chocolate souffle that he really liked. After tea we wandered back to the hotel and did some reading. Elliott started a new Doctor Who book he'd borrowed from the library and then it was time to go to sleep.

Flight to Corfu

General 

Elliott was good today and took the flight in his stride without any nerves or worry. 

Activities

After getting up very early at 3am we headed for the North Terminal and checked in for our flight to Corfu. Once we got through security we had some breakfast and then boarded the aeroplane. During the journey Elliott watched his iPad and read some more of Swith Alligator Action. After about two and a half hours we arrived at Corfu airport and then got on a coach for the transfer to our hotel "The Apollo Palace" in Messonghi. Once we got there we went to our room, unpacked and then headed to the restaurant for a buffet lunch.

After lunch we went to one of the two pools in the hotel complex and Elliott went swimming in the pool. He also read the end of Switch Alligator Action while he relaxed on a sun bed and we found a table tennis table and had some fun playing table tennis. Then we went to the gym for half an hour and Elliott tried the treadmill before we went to buffet tea in the restaurant. After tea we went to the entertainement area where it was Greek night and we watched some Greek dancing in traditional dress before it was time for bed. 

Gatwick

General 

Elliott was very good today, especially as we were busy packing during the morning. 

Activities

After breakfast Elliott went out on his bike while we packed. When he got back he packed his bags and then we had an eary lunch of burger and chips.

After lunch we drove to Gatwick where we checked in to the Premier Inn to stay overnight due to our aeroplane leaving at 5am tomorrow. We went to explore the terminals and ride on the monorail and we had sandwiches for tea before getting an early night to get ready to get up at 3am the next morning. He read Swith Alligator Action before going to sleep.

iMovie

General 

Elliott was really good again today. He was a bit disappointed about being asked to tidy up his room, but that was understandable and he did tidy it up. 

Activities

Before breakfast Elliott read some more of Switch Alligator Action practiced using the iMovie application to edit one of his animation videos and to create a tralier for that video. He discovered lots of new features and did a very good job. Then after breakfast he went for a bike ride with Andrea down a local bridleway which they both enjoyed. Then it was time for ham sandwiches for lunch.

After lunch we went to Wokingham and he borrowed two books from the library for our holiday, one was a Doctor Who story and the other was an adventure story about a spy. We also did some shopping for sun cream, insent repellent, etc. When we got home from shopping he went out on his bike again around the field opposite. Then it was time for spaghetti bolognese for tea and after tea Graham and Jack Jenkins came to visit and he went out on his scooter with them for a while. When he got back it was time for him to tidy his room, have his bath and clean his teeth. After his teeth cleaning we had a game of chess and he read some more of his Swith Alligator Action book before it was time to go to sleep.

Downton Skate Park

General 

Elliott was really good today once again. 

Activities

In the morning after breakfast he practiced his Clarinet with Grandpa again and then finished reading Billionaire Boy. And then, inspired by Harry Higgins showing us a You Tube video he'd done yesterday, we headed to Downton skate park to make a scooter video of our own:

Then we packed and drove back to Arborfield where we met up with Andrea and Graham Jenkins and their Dad for lunch in The Bull Inn. Elliott had chicken nuggets, chips and broccoli.

After lunch he rode his bike, began reading Switch Alligator Action and we edited the skate park video. Then we had ham sandwiches for tea before he had his bath and brushed his teeth. After that he helped write his blog and played with his Doctor Who figures before going to sleep.

Harry Higgins

General 

Elliott was good today and him and Harry got on well without any falling out (but quite a bit of excitement). 

Activities

In the morning after breakfast her read some more of Billionaire Boy before we drove to Salisbury. We met Matt and Harry Higgins in the skate park by Salisbury College and he spent a few hours on his scooter with Harry. Harry taught him some new tricks and they had a good time. Then we headed in to Salisbury and went to Burger King for lunch where Elliott had chicken nuggets.

After lunch we went to the cinema to see Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, which he enjoyed, although did think was quite long (it was over 2 hours). Then we had a quick look round The Entertainer with Harry but there were no Doctor Who products there at all:

Then we came home and had sausages, potato waffles and broccoli for tea before he played his Clarinet quickly. Then it was time for bath and teeth brushing and he watched his You Tube channel on the iPad (Harry Higgins now has his own channel) and read some more Billionaire Boy before going to sleep.

All The Cool Stuff

General 

Elliott was very good again today. 

Activities

In the morning he went to the skate Park with Granny and Grandpa while I did some work and then we had ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch.

After lunch he practiced Clarinet with Grandpa again and then we went to Fordingbridge again. This time we had a look in the "All The Cool Stuff" shop although unfortunately there wasn't any good Doctor Who merchandise there today. There was lots of Star Wars, Transformers, Pokemon and Lego though. After we got home from Fordingbridge we played chess and then wathced part of an episode of Star Trek The Next Generation which he really liked. Then he had his FaceTime call before haivng chicken nuggets, chips and some peas for tea. After tea he had a bath and brushed his teeth before reading more of Billionaire Boy in bed.

Holly and Charlotte Chandler

General 

Elliott was really good today. 

Activities

In the morning we played chess and then he spent the morning with Granny and Grandpa playing games while I worked. We had ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch.

After lunch he practiced Clarinet with Grandpa and played chess against Granny while I worked and then we went to Fordingbridge where we met up with Tim and Emily Chandler and their new adopted daughters Holly (18 months) and Charlotte (7 months). Elliott enjoyed meeting them and was interested in adoption and had lots of questions which he asked very politely. Then we went home and had chicken fajitas for tea. After tea he played some more chess with me and then had his bath and brushed his teeth. After that he watched some iPad and read some more of Billionaire Boy before it was time for sleep.

Downton

General 

Elliott had enjoyed sports club again when I picked him up.

Activities

At St Crispins sports holiday club today Elliott played badminton, curling, benchball and hockey (although it rained during hockey so they had to play inside which he said wasn't as good). After I picked him up we drove to Downton and had spaghetti bolognese for tea with Granny and Grandpa. After tea he played his Clarinet and then had his bath and brushed his teeth. After he was ready for bed he read some more Billionaire Boy before going to sleep.

Dancing

General 

Elliott had a good day at sports club and was in good spirtis when I picked him up.

Activities

Today at St Crispins sports holiday club Elliott played badminton, cricket, athletics and did some dancing (which he enjoyed and showed me his moves). After I picked him up we went to his swimming lesson and he had a shower after his lesson. Then it was home for pasta with tomato and bacon sauce for tea again, before he rode his bike around the field for a bit. Then he played his Clarinet, brushed his teeth and read more Billionaire Boy.

Sports holiday club

General 

Elliott was good after I picked him up and had enjoyed his day.

Activities

He'd had a good day at St Crispins sports holiday club where he'd played badminton, and did some trampolining, judo, martial arts and drawing. After we got home he had pasta with tomato and bacon sauce for tea before he played his Clarinet and watched some Doctor Who. Then he had his bath and brushed his teeth and when he was ready for bed we had a game of chess. After the chess he read more of Billionaire Boy before it was time for bed and going to sleep.

Clarinet

General 

Elliott was good after I picked him up.

Activities

On our way home we stoppped at the Co-Op to get lunch ingredients for packed lunches for the next few days at sports club. After we got home he told us about his holiday and shoed us his postcard and the other things in his bag. Then he played his Clarinet and had a bath. After his bath he brushed his teeth and had some bed time water and we played a game of chess. After the chess he read more of Billionaire Boy and went to sleep.
