The Golden Retriever

General 

Elliott was really good today. 

Activities

After breakfast Elliott went cycling while I went for a run and when we got home we watched the second Transformers film "Revenge of the Fallen". Then he did the first two exercises of his maths homework on the iPad and read some more of his Darren Shan book. Then we went to The Golden Retriever for lunch with Andrea's Dad and his friend Barbara and he had chicken breast and bacon with chips. He was really well behaved and read some more of his book and palyed with some Transformers he'd taken with him.

After lunch we went home via Sainsburys where we picked up ingredients for chicken fajitas tomorrow. When we got home he read some more of his Darren Shan book and by the end of the day he'd read 50 pages of his Darren Shan book today. Then he did some Clarinet practice before he watched Transformers Prime on the iPad and had toast and luncheon meat sandwiches for tea. After tea he got ready for bed and brushed his teeth and saved his bath for tomorrow after hockey training so he could watch some of Strictly Come Dancing before it was time to go to sleep.

Transformers

General 

Elliott was really good after school today and had been mentioned as almost winning the respect badge for his class this week (Nihal had just shown slightly more respect during the week).

Activities

After school we went to Sainsburys to get some shopping on the way home and then when we got home we watched Transformers (the first movie). While he was watching Transformers he had some toast for tea. The he had his bath, brushed his teeth and read some of the next Saga of Darren Shan school book that he's now reached (having finished the first book).

Smiggle pencil case

General 

Elliott was good after school today and was very happy that he asked Miss Allen if he could bring his smiggle pencil case in after behaving well adn she said he could have a second chance.

Activities

After school we went home for a snack before swimming (toast) and then it was off to swimming where he was a bit nervous about having a new swimming teacher. It turned out he liked his new swimming teacher though so that was good. After swimming we went to Sainsburys and then popped in to get his pencil case. After we got home he watched Trnasformers Prime on the iPad for a while before brushing his teeth (he'd had a shower after swimming so no need for a bath) and then he read his school book The Saga of Darren Shan before it was time to go to sleep.

Goggles

General 

Elliott was good after school today but he was also a bit down as he didn't thin his hockey trial had gone as well as he'd like because he had to keep playing in defence again. We talked about how playing for the team is a good quality and resilience. The squads will be put on the board in the next few days so I also said he didn't know and talked about how often after tests and trials people think they've done worse than they have. He cheered up after swimming and told me more about his day and how his Clarinet lesson was good and his teacher was pleased he had joined Whistling Woodwind and done practice over the summer holidays. He also said they'd been listening to Space Oddity by David Bowie during their science lesson.

Activities

After school clubs hadn't started yet so after school we went home before swimming to get ready and Elliott went for a bike ride to help cheer himself up after feeling down about the hockey trial. When we got to swimming unfortunately we realised his goggles had dropped out of his swimming bag but he did his lesson without them anyway and did really well. He was much happier after swimming and had his shower before we went home for toast for tea. After tea he watched some Transformers Prime on the iPad before he brushed his teeth and then read more of his school book The Saga of Darren Shan before it was time to go to sleep.

Whistling Woodwind

General 

Elliott was realy good after school today, especially as I had to go back to work for a practice training session (he watched the iPad with his Transformers for half an hour).

Activities

After school we went to the Council for the practice training for half an hour and he was really well behaved and didn't complain at all. After work had finished we had some ham sandwiches in Wokingham for tea and then went to Costa Coffee where he had millionaire shortbread and sugar free 7 Up. Then it was time to go to Emmbrook Secondary School for his first Whistling Woodwind band practice. He was really nervous before the session but when we got there he immediately befriended another Clarinet player called George and it helped him settle. When I came back after the session to collect him he had really enjoyed it and said he'd learnt two new notes, couldn't wait to tell Lisa during his lesson tomorrow and was looking forward to going back. He also said the teacher had said they were going to play a piece at the Wokingham Winter Carnival which he was excited about. Next we went home and he had his bath, which he ran for himself, cleaned his teeth, and then read more of his school book The Saga of Darren Shan before it was time to go to sleep.

South Berkshire hockey training

General 

Elliott was really good today. 

Activities

After breakfast we went to the first hockey training of the season at Wellington Health and Fitness Club. He was a bit nervous at first but when he saw Noah was waiting he overcame his nerves and ran towards the pitches. They had good astro pitches there and the session was good with Elliott playing really well in defence in the game at the end. The coach told him he'd made good tackles lots of times. After the training we headed home and had ham rolls for lunch.

After lunch he played with his Tranformers for a while and then our friends George and Mark came for a cup of tea and Elliott showed Mark his Transformers and some of his videos. Then he did some Clarinet practice before we had (mild) chilli tacos for tea. After tea he had his bath, brushed his teeth, tidied his room and then read some more of The Saga of Darren Shan before going to sleep.

The Tally Ho

General 

Elliott was very good today. 

Activities

Before I got up he read more of his school book The Saga of Darren Shan. After I got up we watched more of Lego Masters over breakfast and then Elliott helped me go for a run by riding with me on his bike. After we got back he played with his Transformers and watched some Transformers on the iPad while he was playing. For lunch we went to the Tally Ho pub to celebrate Andrea's Dad's birthday with Andrea, her Dad, Graham, Harry and Jack Jenkins and their Mum.

After lunch we went to the Meadows shopping and he looked at toys in the big Tescos there. After we got home he watched and played with Transformers some more and then had toast and rolls with luncheon meat for tea. After tea he had his bath and brushed his teeth and then we watched Strictly Come Dancing for a bit. He read some more of The Saga of Darren Shan before going to sleep.

Lego Masters

General 

Elliott was good after school today.

Activities

After school we went food shopping in Sainsburys. When we got home he started building a Transformer out of Lego and while he ate toast for tea we watched the next episode of Lego Masters. After tea he had his bath and brushed his teeth and then carried on making his Lego Transformer. Then he read some of his new school book The Saga of Darren Shan before it was time to go to sleep.

Pencil case

General 

Elliott was really good today. He did talk a few times about being a bit nervous about going back to school and being in Year 5 but we talked about how it was normal to feel a bit nervous before changes and he didn't seem to distracted by it. In fact at other times during the day he talked about how much he was looking forward to going back to school.

Activities

In the morning we went to Reading where we bought a new pencil case for school and got hair cuts. We also looked around the shops for a while. When we got home he had hot dogs for lunch.

After lunch we watched the first episode of Lego Masters and he played with his Transformers for a while. Then we went outside and I ran round the fields while he followed on his bike. After we'd finished it was time to go to swimming where he enjoyed his lesson and had a shower afterwards. When we got home we had ham sandwiches for tea and he brushed his teeth before reading some more of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone before going to sleep.

Fitness tracker

General 

Elliott was very good after I picked him up.

Activities

When we got home he showed me his fitness tracker and then had his bath. After his bath he played with his Transformers and then brushed his teeth. Before he went to sleep he read some of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone.
