Indiana Jones

General 

Elliott was good today after school. He did briefly get scared by a cat when he was outside practicing on his skateboard (the cat did look quite aggressive). 

Activities

After school we went home and Elliott had a ham and cheese baguette for tea. Then he went outside for a bit and practiced skateboarding and scootering. Then it was time to go to Whistling Woodwind where they are practicing a new piece - the Indiana Jones them tune. After Whistling Woodwind he had his bath, brushed his teeth and then read more of his "Charlie Bone and the Hidden King" school book before going to sleep.

Whistling Woodwind concert

General 

Elliott was good again today.

Activities

After breakfast Elliott did a quick bit of Clarinet practice before heading to hockey practice. He did really well at hockey practice and his long passing up the wing was brilliant during the practice game. After hockey we headed to Bracknell skatepark where he did some scootering and skateboarding. There were 2 other boys there, around his age, and he was getting on well with them while they gave him some tips and advice. He even tried one of the steep ramps on his scooter and was really pleased he'd done it, though said it was quite scary and didn't try it again this visit. After we'd been to the skatepark we had ham and cheese baguettes for lunch.

After lunch he did some more Clarinet practice and then did his Muic Theory and English homework. For his English homework he wrote a descriptive paragraph about he Greek mythical bird The Phoenix catching a Robin. Then he had a bath, got dressed and packed up his Clarinet ready for his Whistling Woodwind concert. We drove to Leighton Park for the pre concert rehearsal. After the rehearsal we had some sandwiches for tea and then it was time for the concert. He did really well in the concert and so did the Whilstling Woodwind group as a whole. After the first half of the concert we headed home and he brushed his teeth, got ready for bed and read more of "Charlie Bone and the Hidden King" before going to sleep.

Avengers: Infinity War

General 

Elliott was really good today.

Activities

In the morning we got up quite quickly for the weekend and after breakfast he practiced his Clarinet. Then we went to Bracknell Odeon to watch Avengers: Infinity War with Andrea and our friend Angus Walker. We all enjoyed the film which has lots of superheroes in it. After the film we went to a pub nearby for lunch and Elliott had chicken goujons, chips and peas (he ate some peas though not all on the plate).

After lunch we went to Tesocs on the way home to do food shopping. On the way home from shopping we had a Subway for tea and he had his normal ham, salami, pepperoni and cheese combination. After we got home Elliott did his Maths homework on Study Ladder and then practiced his Clarinet again. Then he did some finger boarding before it was time for bath and teeth cleaning. After he'd got ready for bed he read more of his school book "Charlie Bone and the Hidden King".

Star of the Week

General 

Elliott was very good after school today.   

Activities

After school we went to the Hope and Anchor pub in Wokingham as it was birthday drinks for someone I work with and Elliott showed everyone his home made skate ramp. He also played a game of bar billiards with Karl from the Development Team in a doubles team and had some fun. After we got home he had peanut butter sandwiches for tea and then told me he had been awarded Star of the Week by Miss Allen for some Greek drama he and Harry Smith had performed. After tea he did some Clarinet practice and then had his bath and brushed his teeth. When he had got ready for bed we bought a new hand board from the  Skatehut website and he read more of new "Charlie Bone and the Hidden King" school book before going to sleep.

Charlie Bone and the Hidden King

General 

Elliott was good again after school today.   

Activities

After school we went straight home and Elliott had ham sandwiches and got changed for swimming. Then we went to Carnival Pool for his swimming lesson and had a shower afterwards. When we got home he practiced on his scooter for a while before playing on his iPad. Then he got ready for bed, brushed his teeth and read some of his new "Charlie Bone and the Hidden King" school book before going to sleep.

Sedero Lounge

General 

Elliott was good after school today.   

Activities

After school we went straight home and Elliott did practiced on his scooter before having ham sandwiches for tea. Then we headed to Wokingham where we went for a quick sparkling apple drink in the Sedero Lounge (where there was a leaving do for someone from my work) before he went to Whistling Woodwind. After Whistling Woodwind he was in very good spirits and we headed home again where he had a bath and then read some more of a Batman comic before going to sleep (he said he didn't have a school book yet).

Berkshire Under 10s tournament

General 

Elliott was mainly good today. However he did get upset about having to finish off his music theory homework during the morning. But this didn't last long and he apologised after and got on with it.

Activities

In the morning we finished off watching the end of Captain America: Civil War while we had breakfast and then I asked him to finish his music theory homework. At first he didn't respond and when I reminded him to do it he begun to get upset. However this didn't last long and he got on with it. After he'd finished we had a sandwich for lunch and then headed off to hockey.

The hockey tournament was really good and I thought he played really well after a slow start (which wasn't surprising given the break they've all had from hockey). I thought he was a solid as ever at the back and in the last few games it was great to see him make a few runs up the wing. Anyway they were all very happy with coming second and looking forward to their prize of playing in the South Counties tournament in a few weeks (Tony said they will try and organise some training imbetween). He also likes his new penalty corner helmet:

After the tounrnament we went home and had Roast Chicken with roast potatoes and broccolli for tea. After tea he did some Clarinet practice before having his bath and cleaning his teeth. After he'd got ready for bed he read some more of his Black Panther book.

Captain America: Civil War

General 

Elliott was tired today but was also well behaved.

Activities

In the morning I picked Elliott up from Graham Jenkins's house in Wokingham and then we headed to St Crispins skate park. Elliott did some scootering and skateboarding and at first it was really quiet in the skate park and he had the run of it. As time went on more and more people arrived including Graham, Harry and Jack Jenkins after Harry's gymnastics had finished. Elliott really enjoyed showing off his scooter skills to Jack. After a few hours at the skate park we headed home and had ham rolls for lunch.

After lunch we watched the majority of Captain America: Civil War which we both enjoyed before he went out and practiced on his scooter again. Then he had pasta with pepperoni sauce for tea before having his bath and cleaning his teeth. After he'd got ready for bed he watched some skateboaring on the iPad before reading a Batman comic before it was time to go to sleep.

Wonder Woodwind

General 

Elliott was really good today.

Activities

After breakfast I dropped Elliott off at Leighton Park school in Reading for an all day Berkshire Maestros course "Wonder Woodwind". I went back during the morning to help with the tuck shop and saw him during a break and he was enjoying the day. He was off to do a circus skills session after his break and had made some friends. He had sausage and mash for lunch at the school.

At the end of the day there was a concert and his group played Gangster Prakster, the James Bond theme tune and the Batman theme tune and they were all very good. After the concert we went home for toast and then I dropped him off for a sleep over with Jack, Harry and Graham Jenkins. Graham took them all swimming before they did some scootering.

Ready Player One

General 

Elliott was mainly good today. He did get very frustrated with himself in the skate park for not being able to try going down quite a steep and high ramp on his scooter so we talked a lot about enjoying what he can do and not worrying about what he can't (some of his disappointment came from knowing Harry Higgins can go down a similar ramp).

Activities

In the morning we went to Downton skate park early after breakfast and spent a few hours there while it was still dry. He enjoyed the majority of the session and progressed to trying some new tricks and techniques on his skate board. He was frustrated by not letting himself try the highest and steepest ramp on his scooter but he perfected the scooter course he had set himself yesterday. After the skate park we went back to Granny and Grandpa's house and had ham and chesse sandwiches for lunch before packing and setting off for home.

On the way home we stopped in Salisbury where we watched Ready Player One at the Odeon which we all enjoyed. Then we stopped again at Basingstoke and went to Pizza Express for tea where Elliott had dough balls, pepperoni pizza and a chocolate brownie. After we got home he FaceTimed before having his bath, brushing his teeth and reading more of his Black Panther book before going to sleep.

Downton skate park

General 

Elliott was really good again today. 

Activities

We had a lazy morning and watched the England verses India Commonwealth Games hockey match. He also did some of his Music Theory homework and practiced his Clarinet. We had sandwiches for lunch with Peter Sladen who popped over to see us during his lunchtime now he works in Downton. 

After lunch we went to the skate park in the recreation ground just up the road and Elliott rode his scooter and his skate board:

After a while we were joined by another boy called Bradley who was 7 and Elliott showed him how to do some scooter tricks. After a few hours we left and then had spaghetti bolognese for tea. After tea Elliott had his bath, brushed his teeth, watched the iPad and then read more of his Black Panter book.

The Sladens

General 

Elliott was really good again today. 

Activities

In the morning, after breakfast, we headed to Salisbury for haricuts and to look at the shops (including buying new reeds for Elliott's Clarinet):

We also popped to The Maltings where it was still cordoned off with police tape and being guarded by policemen. They we headed to Costa Coffee where we met up with Andrea and Granny for lunch (they'd been looking at different shops). Elliott had a ham and cheese toastie.

After lunch we finished off shopping by visiting Tescos and then headed home where Elliott did some drawing (he drew some Brail designs). He also practiced his Clarinet and gave Granny a performance of different tues on the Clarinet. Then we headed off to visit the Sladens and Elliott played football in their garden with Charlie and Alice Sladen and did some scooter tricks and had a really good time:

After we'd visited the Sladens we headed home for chicken fajitas for tea and then Elliott had a bath. After his bath he watched a bit of the Manchester City verses Liverpool game before going to bed and reading more of his Black Panter book before it was time to go to sleep.

Downton

General 

Elliott was good today. 

Activities

In the morning we packed to visit Downton and then went to Subway for lunch where Elliott had ham, pepporoni and salami with cheese on an Italian sub.

After lunch we visited the BMW dealership with Andrea on the way to Downton and Elliott was very well behaved while Andrea looked at cars. Then we drove to Downton and after we arrived we had a snack for tea (chips and peas). Then Elliott practiced his Clarinet and showed Granny his fingerboards before he had his bath. After his bath he played with fingerboards and read more of his Black Panter book.

Hockey

General 

Elliott was really good after school todayI picked him up today.   

Activities

After we got home he played with his fingerboards for a while and then got ready for bed. After he got ready for bed we watched some Commonwealth Games hockey I'd recorded from last night (some of England women's team against India including Hollie Webb and then some of the men's game against Pakistan). After the hockey Elliott read more of his Black Panther book before going to sleep.
