Summer Fayre

General 

Elliott was really good today and his stall earned over £100 at the Fayre which was very impressive (and more than my stall made).

Elliott realloy enjoyed the Fayre and running his stall:

We also got a chance to look round the Fayre together and we won some bits and pieces in the tombola and found some Doctor Who books to buy. He also had a go at the Braknell Bees Ice Hockey demonstration with Harry Smith:

After the Fayre we went to the skatepark at Sol Joel for an hour or so and then headed home. When we got home he played with Lego and watched some Lego videos before we had chicken fajitas for tea. After tea he carried on playing with Lego before having his bath and brushing his teeth. Before he went to sleep he read his school book "Mr Gum and the Biscuit Billionaire".

Forest School

General 

Elliott was very well behaved after school today, but he was very tired from his visit to Forest School.

Activities

Before visiting Forest School this morning Elliott was quite nervous but fortunately, when we got there, we passed Harry Smith's Mum and Thomas's Dad and as soon as he knew they'd already got there he was much happier and his nerves turned to excitement. After I picked him up he said he'd done lessons in film studies, physical geography, history and they'd played "capture the flag" in PE. He had enjoyed it but was tired and said he'd found some of it strange. After school and a drink of orange at Sainsburys he said he wanted to go to Hockey Club so we headed over to Hawkedon and then after Hockey Club he went to his swimming lesson and had a shower afterwards. After we got home he watched some of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 while we had pasta with pepperoni sauce for tea and then he did some Clarinet practice. Finally he brushed his teeth and read more of "Grandpa's Great Escape" before it was time to go to sleep.

World Cup stickers

General 

Elliott was in good spirits after school today.

Activities

After school we stopped off and bought some new World Cup stickers on the way home. When we got home he opened the stickers and stuck them in to his album and watched some Lego animations on the iPad. Then he had luncheon meat sandwiches for tea before we headed off to Whistling Woodwind. After Whistling Woodwind we came home, he had a quick bath, brushed his teeth and then read more of "Grandpa's Great Escape".

Berkshire Maestros Summer Gala Concert

General 

Elliott was really good again today.

Activities

After breakfast Elliott watched the original Jurassic World film and made some paper aeroplanes from a make lots of different kinds of paper aeroplanes book he has. Then we headed to Reading and to the Concert Hall by the Town Hall for his final Whistling Woodwind rehearsal before the Summer Concert. On the way we picked up a ham, pepperoni, salami and cheese Subway for lunch and we watched the beginning of the England verses Panama World Cup game.

After his rehearsal he had a quick break before it was time for the concert. His Whistling Woodwind group were on last in the concert but they did really well and he said he was nervous because he was right on the end of a row by the audience. But they played the "Imperial March" from Star Wars better than I've ever heard them play it and the Indiana Jones March we really good too. Afterwards he was pleased with how it went.Then we headed home via the park where we met up with Andrea and played cricket for 40 minutes. After cricket we went home for tea which was pasta with ham and tomato sauce and then he had his bath and brushed his teeth. After he was ready for bed he read more of "Grandpa's Great Escape" and then it was time to go to sleep.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

General 

Elliott was very good today and cleaned his room and did his homework straight away when I asked him after we'd planned timings earlier in the day.

Activities

After breakfast Elliott did his Study Ladder Maths homework and then made a short, funny Lego Avengers animation (where Ironman needed the toilet). Then we headed to Bracknell Music Centre where he had extra Clarinet Club practice ahead of tomorrow's concert. Then we had ham rolls for lunch on our way to Braknell Odeon.

After lunch when we got to Braknell Odeon we watched "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" which we both enjoyed. There were a few "jump scares" but Elliott took them in good spirit and enjoyed the action. After the film we stopped at the park for another hour of cricket. Then we headed home and he tidied his bedroom and did his English homework (which was writing a dialogue scene with two animal characters). After that he watched some Lego animations before we had sausages, burgers, chips and peas for tea. After tea he had a bath, brushed his teeth and then read more of his school book "Grandpa's Great Escape".

Fortnight dances

General 

Elliott was in good spirits after school when I picked him up and had a good day where he'd had his Clarinet lesson, a lesson about the differences between the UK and the Amazon Rainforest and played cricket.

Activities

After school we popped in to ASDA to get an onion and then stopped at a park in Arborfield to play cricket on the way home. While we were at the park Elliott also showed me his repertoire of Fortnight dances:

After playing cricket for about an hour we headed home and Elliott made some Lego Marvel characters. Then we had spaghetti bolognese for tea before he had his bath, brushed his teeth and read some of his school book "Grandpa's Great Escape" by David Walliams.

Cricket

General 

Elliott was much happier when I picked him up after Hockey Club today. He said he hadn't had to stay in during his break in the end and he'd had a better day enjoying Hockey Club. He also said he'd had some tests today.

Activities

After Hockey Club we went straight to swimming where he enjoyed his lesson. After swimming we drove home and played some cricket in the field outside before he had ham sandwiches for tea. After tea he played with Lego and watched some Spiderman before he brushed his teeth and got ready for bed (he'd already had a shower after swimming). When he was ready for bed he read his new "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" school book before going to sleep.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

General 

Elliott was a bit subdued after school today until Clarinet Club and he was a happier when I picked him up after Clarinet Club. He was a bit upset when I picked him up after school as Miss Allen had told him he was going to have to stay in at break the next day to colour in a new map for Geograhy as he'd made a mess of the map he'd been colouring in during the lesson and hadn't finished the task. He said he was upset because some of his other class mates hadn't finished colouring their maps in and other people had made mistakes too. So we talked about how sometimes things happen that don't seem fair and he did cheer up a little, but remained a bit miffed until after Clarinet Club.

Activities

After we got home we watched the end of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" after he finished his Maths Study Ladder homework while we had ham sandwiches for tea. Then we headed off to Whistling Woodwind and he enjoyed the practice and was happier afterwards. After practice we headed home and he had a quick bath, brushed his teeth and read the end of his school book "Mr Gum and the Goblins" before it was time to go to sleep.

Visiting Harry Higgins

General 

Elliott was very good again today.

Activities

After breakfast Elliott began the day by doing more Clarinet practice with Grandpa, his Study Ladder homework and his English homework (which was describing a picture of a giant Octopus in a harbour and what might be happening in the scene, which he did really well with half a page of text). Then, after watching some Spiderman, we headed off to the park next door again and this time we played cricket and badminton as well as him practicing on his scooter and skateboard in the skate park there:

After we'd been at the park for a few hours we drove in to Salisbury where we met Granny and Grandpa for lunch at Pizza Express. Elliott had dough balls, pepperoni pizza and chocolate fudge cake for lunch.

After lunch we had a quick wander around Salisbury and then we drove to Durrington to visit Matt, Harry and Bertie Higgins. Elliott had a great time playing with Harry and they did some finger boarding, played some Lego Marvel Heros on the Nintendo and did a lot of skateboarding and scootering:

We also had tea with the Higgins and Elliott had sausage rolls, some chips and some peas. Then it was time to drive home and after we got home he had a quick bath and brushed his teeth. Then he played with his Lego Hulk Buster for a while before reading more of Mr Gum and the Goblins before going to sleep.

Clarinet with Grandpa

General 

Elliott was very good today.

Activities

After a lie in Elliott got up and we played cricket in the morning before he went to Libby's party.

After the party I picked him up and we headed off to Granny and Grandpa's house in Downton. When we got there he unpacked and then did some Clarinet practice with Grandpa. After his Clarinet practice we went to the skate park in the park next door and he practice with his scooter and his skateboard. He did some very good one hundred and eighty degree turns:

After the skate park we went back to Granny and Grandpa's house and he did some more Clarinet practice with Grandpa while I made us spaghetti bolognese for tea. After tea he had a bath, brushed his teeth and then read more of Mr Gum and the Goblins before going to sleep.

Disco

General 

Elliott was really good waiting for his disco and went to bed quickly when we got home afterwards.

Activities

Elliott really enjoyed his disco tonight after waiting patiently during the other discos. He was mainly socialising with Harry Smith during the disco but he also danced with Ella and at one point he even held her hand. After the disco we headed home and he got ready for bed and brushed his teeth straight away before reading some Spiderman for 10 minutes to help get ready for going to sleep.

Mr Gum and the Goblins

General 

Elliott was good after school today. He was a bit upset when I first collected him from school after hockey club because Thomas had been teasing him during lunch break.

Activities

After school we went straight to Elliott's swimming lesson and he did really well. After swimming he had a shower and then we headed home. When he got home he looked through his Lego to find more mini figures to film animations with. Then he had ham and peanut butter sandwiches for tea while watching the first part of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". After tea he brushed his teeth and then read some of his school book "Mr Gum and the Goblins" before it was time to go to sleep.
