Animation

General 

Elliott was really good after he arrived and went to bed with no problems.

Activities

After I he'd unpacked Elliott made an animation before having a bath, brushing his teeth and getting ready for bed. He read some more of his Doctor Who book before going to sleep.

Swimming

General 

Elliott was really good today. 

Activities

After breakfast Elliott did more animation and also practiced his Clarinet (learning some new pieces his teacher asked him to look at in the holidays). Then we had sandwiches again for lunch. 

After lunch we visited Andrea's Dad and showed him holiday photos and heard about his holiday to Prague. Then he got ready for his swimming lesson which he enjoyed and after swimming he had a shower and changed in to his pyjamas. When we got home he had sausages, waffles and a few peas for tea while we watched Blue Peter. Then it was time for him to brush his teeth and read more of his new Doctor Who book before going to sleep.

Crosshairs

General 

Elliott was very good today. He slept in until 10am after getting in late the night before.

Activities

After breakfast we had a lazy day and Elliott did lots of animating in the morning. We had ham sandwiches for lunch. 

After lunch we went to Sainsburys and Elliott bought a new Crosshairs Transformer in the sale with his pocket money. After we got back he did some more animating and then we had chicken fajitas for tea. After tea he had a bath, brushed his teeth, got ready for bed and read some of a new Doctor Who book before going to sleep.

Football with Boris

General 

Elliott was good today. 

Activities

It was our last day today so after our buffet breakfast we did the majority of our packing and then headed to the swimming pool for the last time. Elliott played football again with Boris organising (back after his day off) and then he joined in for the end of Aqua Aerobics again. Then we headed to the snack bar for lunch and Elliott had a hot dog. 

After lunch we showered, finished packing and checked out and then we wandered down to the beach front again for a few hours and had a meal in a sea front restaurant (Elliott had chicken nuggets and chips). Then at 6.30pm the coach came to pick us up and take us to the airport and we flew home. Elliott watched The Green Latern film on an iPad during the flight and then slept for the last few hours of the flight. When we arrived at Gatwick we got throught passport control, picked up our bags, left through customs and then drove home. It was very late when we arrived home and Elliott went straight to sleep after sleeping for most of the car journey.

Starlight cinema

General 

Elliott was really good again today. 

Activities

We had a lie in today before getting up for buffet breakfast. After breakfast Elliott did some more animating before we went back to the swimming pool. As Saturday was the animation team's day off Elliott played me at pool again and won the decider so he won 2-1 overall in games of pool against me. We spent the rest of the morning relaxing by and in the pool before another lunch at the snack bar.

After lunch we went back to our room and got ready and then we took a taxi in to Puerto del Carmen (the local town). We spent a while looking at shops and then we went to a restaurant looking out over the harbour and Elliott had pizza for tea:

After the meal we went to the Starlight cinema (an outdoor cinema on top of a shopping centre) and watched Coco, which we all really enjoyed:

After the film Elliott bought a black toy Porsche to use in his animation and then we got a taxi back to the hotel and went straight to bed.

El fuego espectacular

General 

Elliott was very good again today. 

Activities

After our buffet breakfast we headed to the swimming pool and Elliott watched while Andrea and I did some Pilates with Gloria, an animation team member from Moldova. After Pilates Elliott went off to play football again, this time organised by Cisco from the animation team, and again he played really well and had fun:

After football Elliott joined me at the snack bar where Gloria and Michael Jordan from the animation team were doing a wine tasting for the adults. Then we had lunch and Elliott had a burger.

After lunch Elliott went back to our room for an hour to do some animating of his Transformer toys and then he joined back at the swimming pool where he read some more of The Deadly Seven and threw a ball around in the pool with me, Sam and Sam's Dad. At about 6pm we went back to the hotel room and got ready for tea in the hotel. Elliott had a steak with chips for tea before we headed back to the hotel theatre for the evening's show. This was a circus show with a juggler and magician and a gymnast who squeezed herself in to a box and did some impressive hula hooping. At the end of the circus show we went to one of the hotel swimming pools where the animation team finished the evening by performing a fire show ("el fuego espectacular") where they danced with burning clubs, etc before the show finished with fireworks. Then we headed back to the hotel room, got ready for bed, brushed our teeth and went straight to sleep as it was getting late.

Yellow submarine

General 

Elliott was very good today. 

Activities

After our buffet breakfast today we headed to the swimming pool and today, after we'd settled down, Elliott went off to play pool with a German girl organised by Michal, an animation team member from Poland. He won 3 games of pool and qualified for another Diploma in the evening. After the pool activity he came back to the swimming pool and played with Sam before joining us for Aqua Aerobics again. After Aqua Aerobics we headed to the snack bar for lunch and he had a ham and cheese toastie.

After lunch we went back to our room and had showers and got changed. Then we caught a coach from just outside our hotel to Puerto Calero for a trip on the yellow submarine there. After we arrived we were given our boarding cards and then we watched a short safety video before boarding the yellow submarine:

The trip on the yellow submarine lasted about an hour and was really good. We dived down to 30 metres under the sea and saw 3 shipwrecks and lots of fish including Parrott Fish, Stingrays and Barricudas:

After the submarine trip we stayed in Perto Calero for half an hour or so and looked at the port and shops there. Then the coach took us back to our hotel and we got ready for our buffet tea. Elliott had chicken and a burger for tea. After tea we went to the hotel theatre for our evening entertainment and Elliott was presented with a Diploma for pool (billiard) and I got a Diploma for Aqua Aerobics. After the presentations the evening entertainment was a live band with guitars that lit up playing covers by Queen, The White Stripes and other similar bands. We enjoyed this and then returned to our room where we got ready for bed, brushed our teeth, read for a while adn then went to sleep.

Pool inflatables

General 

Elliott was very good today. 

Activities

After the buffet breakfast we headed back to the swimming pool again today. After we'd settled down Elliott and I played each other at pool and ping pong and this time I won the pool game (althogh Elliott won at ping pong). Then we wandered down to beach where Andrea was doing yoga with the animation team and wandered up and down the beach for a while:

When we got back to the hotel we relaxed by the swimming pool for a while and he read more of The Deadly Seven. Then at 11am a large inflatable slide, an inflatable waterwheel and an inflatable sumo court were added to the pool and Elliott and Sam had a lot of fun using the inflatable equipment:

At about 1pm we headed to the snack bar for lunch where Elliott had a ham and cheese toastie and a hot dog.

After lunch we headed back to the pool and Elliott carried on playing on the inflatables with Sam. Then, at 3.15pm, it was time for Petanque again and we decided to play again. This time we played Cisco an Italian member of the animation team and it was individuals against each other this time with Elliott winning. However Cisco assured us we'd both receive Diplomas for our Petanque skills in the evening (I came second). After Petanque we went to the children's swimming pool for a foam party but Elliott didn't enjoy having foam bubbles on his head so we headed back to our normal pool. On the way we passed some men carrying parrotts (there had been a parrott show in the theatre while we played Petanque) and Elliott had a go at stroking one of the parrotts. After some more playing in the pool with Sam we headed back to the hotel for showers and then had tea at the hotel buffet again (Elliott had roast beef). After tea we went to the theatre but our Petanque Diplomas did not appear which Andrea and Elliott found funny again. After the presentations there were there was a Disney show with the animation team dressing as different Disney characters and performing a play with songs and dancing in which Peter Pan and Gloria travel through different Disney lands (including Aladdin, the Seven Dwarves and Frozen). Elliott quite enjoyed the show and filmed clips of it to show Libby as he thought she would have really enjoyed it. After the show it was back to our hotel to get ready for bed, brush our teeth and read before going to sleep.

Magic Show

General 

Elliott was good again today. 

Activities

After getting up and having breakfast we headed back to the swimming pool. Once we were settled down it was time for the ping pong activity at 10.30am so Elliott headed with me to the table tennis area where Boris organised a tournament between about 5 children:

Elliott played really well and enjoyed himself. After ping pong we headed back to the pool and then at 11.30am it was time for children's football in the sports area (again taken by Boris) and Elliott joined in with this and had fun.When we got back from football we joined Andrea in the swimming pool for the end of Aqua Aerobics and then we headed to the snack bar for lunch (Elliott had a ham and cheese toastie).

After lunch we headed back to the pool and Elliott made friends with a boy from Newcastle about his age called Sam and they started throwing a ball around together and having fun. Then it was time for a game of Dads and children's water polo organised by Jamie and Cisco from the animation team. This was mainly good fun, but at one point Elliott and I both got caught up accidentally in trying to get the ball and pulled under the water. He was fine though and we carried on in an epic game where we lost by one goal in the end 18-17. After water polo he relaxed and read some more of The Deadly Sweven before we went back to our room, showered and got ready for the evening. We stayed in the hotel for the buffet tea and Elliott had chicken and chips. After tea we headed to the hotel theatre for the evening show and before the show began Elliott was awarded a Diploma for his Petanque prowess from the day before (for some reason I didn't receive my Diploma which Elliott and Andrea found funny):

After the presentation it was time for the evening's entertainment which was a magic show that we all enjoyed. After the show we headed back to the hotel room, brushed our teeth, got ready for bed and read for a while before going to sleep.

Petanque champions

General 

Elliott was really good today. 

Activities

We got up and went to breakfast where Elliott had croissants and tried some Grapefruit (which he wasn't a fan of). Then we went to our welcome meeting before heading to one of the swimming pools. Elliott soon jumped in and started swimming and then one of the animation team arrived and we joined in with Aqua Aerobics which was good fun. Then we played a game of pool on an outside pool table by the swimming pool (which Elliott won) and afterwards we went for lunch at the snack bar and Elliott had a hot dog.

After lunch we went back to the pool and Elliott read some of The Deadly Seven and messed around in the pool before we both went to play Petanque in the sports area at 3.15pm. We played against Boris (a Spanish member of the animation team) and Michael Jordan (a Frendy member of the animation team) and we won after 5 legs:

After Petanque we went back to the pool and relaxed and swam for a while before we headed back to our room to shower and get ready for the evening. After we were ready to go out we headed down to the nearby beach and found a restaurant for tea where we watched the Crystal Palace verses Liverpool game. Elliott had a hamburger with chips for his tea:

After the game we headed back to the hotel to brush our teeth and go to sleep.

Hotel Sendito Aequora Lanzarote

General 

Elliott was good today. 

Activities

After breakfast we finished packing and then headed to Gatwick Airport to get our flight to Lanzarote. When we'd checked in and got through secrurity we went to Nandos for lunch and Elliott had chicken breast with chips.

After lunch we boarded the aeroplane and flew to Lanzarote which took about 4 hours. Elliott had no problems on the flight apart from his ears popping as we landed and watched Transformers: The Last Knight on an iPad during the flight. After landing we showed our passports, collected our luggage and got on a coach which transferred us to our hotel, the Hotel Sendito Aequora Lanzarote. After we'd checked in and been shown to our room we unpacked quickly and headed to the hotel theatre to see the end of the evening's show which was Hollywood themed and involved the animation team dancing to Hollywood songs. Then we headed back to our room, brushed our teeth and went to sleep.

The Deadly Seven

General 

Elliott was really good after I picked him up and went to bed with no problems.

Activities

After I picked him up we went home and Elliott brushed his teeth and got ready for bed. After he was ready for bed he read some of his book "The Deadly Seven" and then sent to sleep.

The Cartoon Museum Superhero Animation Workshop

General 

Elliott was very good again today. 

Activities

We got up quite early today and after breakfast Elliott had a shower. Then we caught the train from Wokingham to Waterloo and then the Underground from Waterloo to Tottenham Court Road. When we got toTottenham Court Road Underground station we walked to the Cartoon Museum (near The British Museum) where Elliott was booked in for a Superhero Animation Workshop. He was a bit nervous when we first got there and asked if I would come in with him (which I was hoping to do anyway) but he soon lost his nerves when he sat next to soon to be new friends Dexter and Finn and the tutor announced they were going to be doing stop motion animation featuring Marvel Superheroes. At this point he seemed quite keen for me to leave so I left him to it with a packed lunch of peanut butter sandwiches, a cookie and some water.

At 3.30pm I arrived back at the Cartoon Museum to pick him up and he seemed to have really enjoyed his day, though was a little disappointed because the computer his team were using for their animation had errored and they'd lost the actual animation of Ghost Rider, The Human Torch and Ant-Man that they'd made. However he wasn't as disappointed as he might have been and seemed to have really enjoyed making the animation with card figures and backgrounds and he'd even got Finn's mobile number so he could say hello another time. After we left the Cartoon Museum we headed to Forbidden Planet (the big comic shop in the same area of London) and he enjoyed looking at the toys and comics there. They had quite a large range of Hot Toys for sale which he enjoyed seeing, though said they were bigger than he thought and so he was a bit put off by them. Then we headed back to Waterloo and had some tea before catching the train home. Elliott had a posh hamburger and fries. After we arrived back in Wokingham we drove home and he brushed his teeth and got ready for bed (we skipped his bath as he'd had a shower at the beginning of the day.) Then he read some more of "George's Secret Key to the Universe" before going to sleep.

Peter, Charlie and Alice Sladen

General 

Elliott was very good again today. 

Activities

After breakfast Elliott played some Clarinet with Grandpa again before we then went to the park in Dowton with the skatepark and he did some scooter stunts. While we were at the park we also played some cricket and attempted to fly the kite he made (althought there wasn't really enough wind). After we got back from the park we went to the Red Shoot Inn in the New Forest for lunch with Granny and Grandpa and Elliott had a hamburger for lunch and chocolate fudge cake for pudding.

After lunch we wnt to visit Peter, Carlie and Alice Sladen (Carla and Poppy Sladen were in Cornwall where Poppy is playing cricket:

 Elliot had a lot of fun playing with Nerf guns and we also played cricket in the back garden:

We stayed for tea and had some toast and sandwiches before driving back home to Arborfield. As time was getting late when we got back we decided not to have a bath or shower and Elliott brushed his teeth, got ready for bed and then read some more of "George's Secret Key to the Universe" before going to sleep.

Stour Valley Nature Reserve

General 

Elliott was very good again today.

Activities

After breakfast Elliott played some Clarinet and Piano with Grandpa before we packed to visit Stour Valley Nature Reserve near Bournemouthwith Granny and Grandpa. When we got to the Nature Reserve there was a visitor centre (The Kingfisher Visitor Centre) where there was a pond for pond dipping. So the first thing we did was see what we could find pond dipping (we found water snails, some larvae, water boatmen and various other pond life):

There was also an outdoor table tennis table by the visitor centre so we played some table tennis with Grandpa:

Then it was time for a picnic lunch:

We had ham and cheese sandwiche

After lunch we went for a walk by the River Stour to see what wildlife we could find and we saw some Butterflies, Dragonflies, Reed Warblers, Moorhens and other birds:

After we'd been walking for a while we turned back and headed back to the Kingfisher Visitor Centre where we had drinks (Elliott had a Hot Chocolate). Then we headed home and relaxed for an hour or so before tea watching Marvel: Agents of Shield. We had spaghetti bolognese for tea and then Elliott had a bath, brushed his teeth and got ready for bed. Then it was time for bed and he read more of "George's Secret Key to the Universe" before going to sleep.
