SimCity

General 

Elliott was much happier today when I picked him up after Hockey Club and well behaved all evening.

Activities

After Hockey Club we went home and Elliott had some toast and got ready for swimming. Then it was off to swimming and he had another good lesson and showered and changed in to his pyjamas afterwards. Then we headed home via Tescos and he bought a late birthday card for Grandpa. When we got home he did some Clarinet practice and wrote the birthday card for Grandpa before playing some SimCity on the iPhone. Then he brushed his teeth and got in to bed where he read more of "The Ice Monster" before going to sleep. 

Dentist

General 

Elliott was good after school today. However he was upset about school again a few times and in Whistling Woodwind I got called in because he'd burst in to tears saying his ankle really hurt all of a sudden (which seemed a bit strange). His ankle was fine after he'd calmed down so I wondered if he was just over excited and emotional?

Activities

After school we went to the Dentist. The Dentist was quite complimentary about his teeth and his teeth brushing but did emphasise he had some plaque on some of his adult teeth and had to keep brushing his teeth for 2 minutes each night. He did, however, need a small filling in one of his baby teeth. Then we headed to Subway for tea and he had a ham, pepperoni and salami sub with cheese. After Subway we headed to Whistling Woodwind and then it was back home for a quick bath and brushing his teeth. After his bath he became quite upset about school again and being teased, this time saying people teased him for being a cry baby and being weak. We talked again about trying to ignore insults that are just mean and perhaps people teasing him because they can see they get a reaction. However I think he seems to be finding that difficult at the moment. Adfter he was ready for bed he calmed down and read more of "The Ice Monster" before going to sleep. 

Sunbury Hockey Tournament

General 

Elliott was very good today. 

Activities

In the morning Elliott did some more animating, watched some Transformer reviews on You Tube and practiced his Clarinet. He had pepperoni pizza for lunch.

After lunch we travelled to St Paul's College in Sunbury for the Sunbury Hockey Club tournament. Unfortunately the tournament was delayed by half an hour due to the game before running late but fortunately there was a club house to wait in as it was very cold and a bit damp. When the tournament did begin Elliott's team had 4 games and won 2, drew 1 and lost 1. The game they drew was against South Berkshire As so that was a good result. Elliott played really well in all the games and at one point did an excellent run down the wing bringing the ball out of defence that led to goal. In the last game he hurt his foot again but played on against a good Sunbury side who won 2-0 so it was really good to see him getting stuck in even though his foot was hurting. After the tournament we headed to Twyford where we had tea with John, Ruth, Alice and Hetty Robertson. Tea was roast chicken and Elliott had some broccoli again as well as roast chicken and potatoes. He also had lots of fun playing lots of fun with the girls and they played dodge ball with balloons as well as playing with some Lego. They'd made him a picture which they gave him as we left. When we got home he had a quick bath, brushed his teeth and then read more of "The Ice Monster" out loud to me.

Art Ninja

General 

Elliott was really good today. 

Activities

We had a very laid back day today with no real activities planned. In the morning Elliott did his homework, practiced his Clarinet and did some animating and playing with his Transformers. At lunch time we headed in to Wokingham and had some lunch in Costa Coffee with Elliott having a ham and cheese panini.

After lunch we headed home and Elliott read some more of "the Ice Monster" before doing some more animating and watching some Fortnite battles on You Tube (I checked they were marked as suitable and watched bits of each one). Then he watched some Art Ninja and we had sausages, boiled potato, broccoli and peas for tea. He ate almost all the tea but did leave some of the potato which he didn't like but did try and said he'd try again (when I pointed out they were the same as the inside of roast potatoes). After tea he did some drawing inspired by Art Ninja and then he had his bath and brushed his teeth. Finally he read some more of "The Ice Monster" before going to sleep.

The Ice Monster

General 

Elliott was good after school today and said his day at school was good with minimal Isobel frustration (but still a little).

Activities

After school we went to Sainsburys to do some food shopping. When we got home Elliott did some animating before having pepperoni pizza for tea. After tea he practiced his Clarinet before having a bath and then reading more of "The Ice Monster" (which he's now really happy he can read as his school book) and then going to sleep. 

Sick day

General 

Elliott was really good this afternoon and let me get on with work while he entertained himself.

Activities

After picking up Elliott we went home and he unpacked his Transformers and did some animating. Then he had some ham sandwiches for tea before we went to his swimming lesson (he seemed quite keen to go swimming and was recovered enough). After swimming he had a shower and we went home and he did his Theory homework. Then he brushed his teeth and read more of his "Skeleton Key" Alex Rider school book before it was time to go to sleep.

Hockey Club

General 

Elliott had a difficult day at times at school again as they were talking about marriage in his RE lesson and he said he felt upset and there was some teasing. However he said he'd dealt with it much better and seemed much happier after school so we talked about remembering how well he'd coped with it and how to do it again next time.

Activities

After school I picked Elliott up from Hockey Club and we went home. Elliott got ready for swimming and had ham and cheese sandwiches for tea. Then it was off to his swimming lesson where he did well before he had a shower after the lesson. When we got home he did some animating and then brushed his teeth. Finally he read more of his "Skeleton Key" Alex Rider school book before it was time to go to sleep.

Clarinet Club

General 

Elliott was quite upset after school today as one of the girls had been saying things to wind him up again. We talked about trying not to be upset what she thinks about the things he likes and he did calm down. He said he normally deals with it better but today it just really got to him so hopefully he'll have a better day tomorrow.

Activities

After school we went home and Elliott did his music theory homework before having ham and cheese sandwiches for tea. Then it was off to Whistling Woodwind (Clarinet Club) at Emmbrook school before we came home and he had his bath and brushed his teeth. Then he read more of his "Skeleton Key" Alex Rider school book before it was time to go to sleep.

Woking Hockey Tournament

General 

Elliott was very good today. 

Activities

In the morning after breakfast we set off for the Woking Hockey Tournament. It was a really good performance by South Berkshire B (with Elliott in defence) winning 3 and drawing 1 and I thought Elliott looked more confident in the age group and played really well. He was very pleased with his performance but did say he thought he'd have sore legs tomorrow after all the running around. On the way home after the tournament we stopped at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Bracknell for lunch and Elliott had a popcorn chicken meal for lunch.

After lunch we went home and Elliott watched some Doctor Who on his iPad and posed his Transformers while thinking about how to animate them next. He also practiced his Clarinet and had a relaxing afternoon in general. Then he had ham and cheese sandwiches for tea before having a bath, brushing his teeth and getting ready for bed. Before he went to sleep he read his Skeleton Key" Alex Rider book for about half an hour.

Pretzel

General 

Elliott was really good today. He got a bit worried because he couldn't find his Maths homework but fortunately Charlie Elgezabal's Mum was able to photograph the questions and send them over.

Activities

In the morning we had a lazy time and Elliott did some animating, watched some You Tube stars on the iPad and practiced skateboarding outside on the path by the field. Then he had a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch.

After lunch we walked to Barbara Hewlett, Harry and Jack Jenkins house (with Elliott skateboarding there) and said hello to their new cat "Pretzel". Elliott had a lot of fun playing with Harry and Jack. After we got home he did his Maths homework and then paracticed his Clarinet before having spaghetti bolognese for tea. After tea he brushed his teeth and got ready for bed without a bath as he has hockey tomorrow anyway and we agreed he can have a bath after hockey. After he was ready for bed he read more of his "Skeleton Key" Alex Rider book before going to sleep.

Skeleton Key

General 

Elliott was good after school today.

Activities

After school we dropped by ASDA on the way home to pick up a Decathlon order that included new PE trainers and Skate trainers for Elliott. After we got home Elliott watched some Fortnite advice on the iPad before doing some animation with his new Ratchet Transformer. Then he had ham and cheese sandwiches for tea before having his bath and brushing his teeth. After he was ready for bed he read some of his new Alex Rider school book "Skeleton Key".

Swimming lesson

General 

Elliott was really good after school today.

Activities

After I picked Elliott up from school we went home and he played with his Transformers. Then he had some toast and it was time for his swimming lesson. He did really well in his swimming lesson and is now on 93% for his stage. After swimming he had a shower, changed in to his pyjamas and we stopped off in Tescos for some shopping before coming home. After we got home he played with his Transformers for a little while longer before brushing his teeth, reading more of "Russian Roulette" and then going to sleep.

Haircut

General 

Elliott was good today apart from moaning about having to do Music Theory homework for a little while.

Activities

In the morning Elliott watched some Doctor Who behind the scenes videos on You Tube, played with his Transformers, practiced his Clarinet and wrote some more of his story. Then we went out to Subway for lunch and Elliott had his normal ham, pepperoni and salami on Italian.

After lunch we went for haircuts and we had to wait for a long time before it was our turn. Then we came home and Elliott dkd his Music Theory homework though he did complain about having to do it. However after getting on with it he picked up what he was meant to be doing and it didn't take very long in the end. Then he had an early bath to stop his hair from itching and got ready for bed before we had hamburgers for tea. After tea he brushed his teeth and then read more of his Alex Rider "Russian Roulette" school book before going to sleep.

Doctor Who New Year's Day special

General 

Elliott was very good today and his cough seems to have gone.

Activities

In the morning after I picked him up he played with his Transformers and then he had bacon rolls for lunch. 

After lunch we had a lazy afernoon and he did some animating, played with Transformers, wrote some more of his story, practiced his Clarinet and also went outside and did some skateboarding. He had pepperoni pizza for tea and then we watched the Doctor Who New Year's Day special. After Doctor Who he brushed his teeth and got ready for bed before reaidng more of his Alex Rider "Russian Roulette" school book before going to sleep.
