Bad Dad

General 

Elliott was good after school today.

Activities

After school I picked him up and we went home. He had ham and cheese sandwiches for tea and watched "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" on his iPad. Then he had a bath, brushed his teeth and got ready for bed before doing a quick bit of Clarinet practice. Before going to sleep he read some of "Bad Dad" by David Walliams.

Mind Trick

General 

Elliott was really good after school today.

Activities

After school we went straight to Elliott's Clarinet lesson and he said he'd had a good day. After his lesson we went home and he did more Maths homework and had ham sandwiches and a fig roll for tea before it was time for Whistling Woodwind which he also enjoyed. After Whistling Woodwind it was time to go back home again and he had a bath, brushed his teeth and got ready for bed. Then we searched online for a monologue for him to learn from a play and we found one called "Mind Trick" by Joespeh Arnone (https://monologueblogger.com/mind-trick-drama-1-minute/) that we thought was short enough to learn in the time and dramatic enough. We broke it in to chunks to learn and he began learning the first chunk. Unfortunately he also got quite upset about homework during this again but we talked about staying positive (and also why hadn't he asked for help earlier to find a monolgue). He should be fine though if he remembers to just learn it a chunk at a time. After he'd learnt the first chunk of the monologue he read more of his school book "The Killing" by Robert Muchamore. Then it was time to go to sleep.

The Dark Knight Returns

General 

Elliott was very good after school today.

Activities

After school we went home and Elliott told me about his day which sounded good. In English they'd talked about story beginnings which grab the attention and the teacher had shown them the start of The Dark Knight Returns as an example. Before tea he relaxed and watched The Investigators (as he'd done some homework at school before I picked him up) and then he had hamburgers for tea. After tea he practiced his Clarinet and then had a bath, brushed his teeth and got ready for bed. He read more of his school book "The Killing" by Robert Muchamore before going to sleep.

The Skewer

General 

Elliott was really good after school today.

Activities

After school we went straight to Elliott's Clarinet lesson which went well. Then we headed to Sainsburys and he had ham sandwiches for tea before we headed back to Whistling Woodwind which he really enjoyed this week (though I suspect this was as much the social aspect as anything else). Then we headed home and we listened to Radio 4 comedy "The Skewer" in the car which made him laugh. After we got home he had a bath, brushed his teeth and got ready for bed. Before he went to sleep he read more of his school book "The Killing" by Robert Muchamore.

Liverpool verses Manchester United

General 

Elliott was good today. He did get despondent about having to do homework so we had quite a long chat about the importance of starting to do homework to his best ability and how Homework Club might be useful if he finds it distracting to work from home. But after the chat he got on with his homework. 

Activities

In the morning Elliott did more of his homework, took photos and watched Death In A Paradise. He had ham rolls and a fig roll for lunch.

After lunch he went for a walk with Andrea and took some photos outside. Then we headed to the Bell and Bottle pub to watch the Liverpool verses Manchester United game. After we got back he had chicken, roast potatoes and broccoli for tea and then he did some Clarinet practice. Then he had a bath, brushed his teeth, got ready for bed and read more of his his school book "The Killing" by Robert Muchamore before going to sleep.

Aldi

General 

Elliott was really good today. 

Activities

In the morning Elliott did his homework and took photos of his action figures. He had bacon sandwiches and a fig roll for lunch.

After lunch we went to Wokingham where we went food shopping at Aldi and Elliott bought a card and present for Grandpa's brithday next weekend. Then we came home and Elliott watched Death In Paradise on his iPad, took more pictures of his action figures and had pepperoni pizza for tea. After tea he had a bath, brushed his teeth, got ready for bed and then did some Clarinet practice. Before he went to sleep he read more of his his school book "The Killing" by Robert Muchamore.

Elliott was very good after school today.

Activities

After he got home Elliott unpacked his bags and watched Death In Paradise. He had a bacon sandwich and fig roll for his tea before having his bath, brushing his teeth and getting ready for bed. He did some Clarinet practice before getting in to bed and then read more of his school book "The Killing" by Robert Muchamore before going to sleep.

New Clarinet teacher

Elliott was really good after school today.

Activities

After school we went straight to Elliott's Clarinet lesson with his new teacher Henry. He said Henry seemed nice and they were getting to know each other. Then we went to Sainsburys for tea and he had a sandwich. After tea it was time for Whistling Woodwind again with the new teacher Henry who Elliott said was a bit stricter than their last teacher. Then we went home and Elliott had a bath, brushed his teeth and got ready for bed. He read more of his school book "The Killing" by Robert Muchamore before going to sleep.

RE homework

Activities

After school we went home and Elliott did his RE homework before having ham and cheese sandwiches followed by fig rolls for tea. Then he did some Clarinet practice, watched more of Death in Paradise and had his bath, brushed his teeth and got ready for bed. Before he went to sleep he read more of his school book "The Killing" by Robert Muchamore.

Back to school

General 

Elliott was really good after school today and had a good day (although was a bit sad to be ending his holiday in the morning before school).

After school we went home and Elliott watched some "Death in Paradise". Then he had ham and cheese sandwiches followed by fig rolls for tea before doing some Clarinet practice. Then he had his bath, brushed his teeth, got ready for bed and read more of his school book "The Killing" by Robert Muchamore before going to sleep.

Doctor Who

General 

Elliott was very good today. 

Activities

In the morning it was the first hockey training of the New Year and Elliott played really well, socring and setting up goals in the game at the end. After hockey we drove home, Elliott had a bath and then Elliott had ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch.

After lunch Elliot wrote some thank you letters for his Christmas presents and then we went to visit David, Jo, Alice and Phoebe Read and watched the Liverpool verses Everton FA Cup game. After the game we came home and Elliott had hamburgers for tea while we watched Doctor Who. Then he got ready for bed, brushed his teeth and read some of his school book "The Killing" by Robert Muchamore before going to sleep.
