Charlie

Sleep

Elliott woke at 7am.

He had a long afternoon nap around 1pm for about 2 hours and took himself up for his own nap!

He went to bed at 8pm with no problems.

Food

He had Weetabix for breakfast and I attempted to feed him some orange segments,  but he was not keen!

He had a Roast Lamb meal for lunch - however he only ate the lamb and a few bits of potato (and some brocholli sneaked through behind the lamb!) I did attempt to get him to try the carrott but this only really helped feeding him potato instead. He had a cheese biscuit for dessert.

He had two slices of toast with margarine for tea.

He also had snacks of biscuit and bread sticks.

Toilet

Elliott had 1 "dirty" nappy during the morning.

He sat on his potty well during each nappy change and before bath time but there was no product on any occasion.

Naughtiness

Elliott had to have a time out at lunch time to encourage him to eat more of his lunch. This did work. Also later at the Sladens he didn't want to give Charlie back his racing cars, but after asking him if he'd rather give the racing cars back of have a time-out Elliott gave the cars back and said thank you to Charlie for letting him play with them.

Activities

In the morning we:
  • played with castle toys
  • watched Postman Pat
  • did some learning with the alphabet cards - he enjoyed saying the things he saw on the cards and played along with "a is for" by repeating, but I'm sure didn't really understand
  • played with the sponge football - mainly kicking
  • went to the park in Fordingbridge for a bit - lots of running around and he was really giggling hard when we started kicking fallen leaves - he also told some ducks to "get back in the water", which they did!
  • made the big ice cream with the right colours again
  • read a Thomas story
In the afternoon we visited the Sladens. Elliott had a really good time, and was playing lots directly with Charlie. Poppy also joined in for a while and they all went upstairs and climbed on top of Poppy's new bunk bed where they were playing together. Elliott was mainly playing with cars and trains with Charlie, but they also bonded over a shared love of the film "Cars" which they both found each other loved. Also at one point Elliott was telling Charlie he was going to be a moo cow in his nursery play and Charlie was telling Elliott he was going t be a sheep in his, which was very sweet.
