Sleep
Elliott woke at 7.20am.
He didn't have a nap at all today.
He went to bed at 7.30pm and went to sleep quickly.
Food
Elliott had Shreddies for breakfast.
He had brown marmite rolls for lunch as a pic nic at Banham Zoo.
For tea he had chicken dippers, toast and beans and orange for pudding.
He had a biscuit for a snack in the morning and an ice cream in the afternoon.
Toilet
All his weeing was really good today. Unfortunately he did his poo in his pants at the zoo, but he let me know very quickly so it was easy to clean up.
Naughtiness
He was really good all day today, apart from getting a little tired towards the end of the Zoo visit, which wasn't surprising as it was a lot of walking. However when I didn't buy him anything from the shop he didn't have a tantrum and soon accepted this, even though he was getting a little grumpy.
Activities
We went to Banham Zoo with Laura for prettty much the whole day (11am - 5pm). There was loads to do at the Zoo and he had a brilliant time. Animal wise we saw tigers, cheetahs, snow leopards, various monkeys, giraffes (with a baby), seals, penguins, meerkats, otters, birds of prey, kangaroos, an ostrich, snakes, scorpions, etc, etc. He was interested in everything, but particularly the meerkats who were very responsive. We also went to a demonstration in a barn where a Zoo keeper showed us some birds (who flew right over our heads), some rats, an armadillo, a kinkachu and all the animals climbed over ropes near us, etc. This went on for about half an hour and he was really interested and joined in doing lots of clapping and pointing. We also went on a train ride all the way around the Zoo which he really enjoyed and waved at lots of lots of people. There was also a soft play area and an adventure playground at the Zoo which he took full advantage of and we had a pic nic lunch there and an ice cream for afternoon snack - a white magnum which he took a while to get used to, but soon got the hang of (though lots did end up on his t-shirt).
Apart from the Zoo we also played with Fireman Sam toys and read some Fireman Sam books.
Also Laura and Nick have a dog, Mikey. He was quite scared of Mikey to begin with (he is big and "friendly"). So I told him it was ok to be scared and did an up whenever Mikey was around, but also got him to wave to Mikey and say hello from a distance and told him Mikey wouldn't hurt him and was just being friendly in a doggie way. I looked all this up on Babycenter! By the end of the day he seemed less nervous - though still nowhere near ready to stroke him. However he did walk past him fairly close holding my hand on the way to bed which was reall progress.
