General
Elliott was a little naughty before we left for Truck at Andrea's flat. He took his socks off and wouldn't put them back on so we had a time out that lasted for quite a long time. Eventually he gave in though, said sorry, did as he was told and he was really good from then on.
Activities
In the morning we went to Andrea's flat and then on to Truck Festival where we already had 2 tents set up - one for me and Elliott and one for Andrea. We had lunch by the tents and he seemed very interested and excited by the tents and the Festival atmosphere.
After lunch we wandered into the actual Festival fields. We started in the field with kids activities where there was a tent from the Oxford Playhouse. There was a play on in there called "Bathtime" in which two men in pyjamas bascially messed around a lot. He really found that funny and there is a You Tube clip - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udBo6f-1vPo&feature=g-upl. Then we checked out the kids activity area with lots of juggling, drawing, plasticine, etc. I got my face painted as a pirate there in an attempt to encourage him to have his face painted but he wasn't interested still - though he called me Captain Hook for the rest of the day! Next we went into the main field of the Festival and watched some bands on a pic-nic blanket from the back. He quite enjoyed this and was soon running around with lots of other children who were there and climbing all over a sculpture of a pile of CDs. Imbetween all this we also went back to our tents a few times. Finally we went back to the tents to go to sleep and he was quite excited about sleeping in his tent. He was really well behaved though and I think really enjoyed himself and by the end didn't even seem too bothered by the inevitable crowds of people.
