Father's Day

General

Elliott was good for most of today. When we got home after Charlie's party he started to be quite whiny about wanting to go cycling when the answer was no, so I sent him to his room to calm down and this did the trick. When I went to see if he'd calmed down he said he was sorry and had built a Deadly 60 island with Lego which we took a photo of and I will send it in to the Lego Club magazine.

Activities

In the morning he woke me up with a card and some presents for Father's Day which was very nice. He gave me a Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker father and son book, a book about the World Cup and a bottle of Pepsi Max. Then we went to football and he did really well, especially in a tackling and dribbling exercise. After football we had burger and chips for lunch as a Father's Day treat.

After lunch we watched an episode of Deadly 60 about Killer Whales before we went to Charlie's party at Bulmershe gymnastics. This was good fun and he tried lots of the different equipment. During the meal he sat with lots of the girls there (although he was up and down seeing Charlie, Adam, Marley, Cody, Isaac, Ishan, etc). He did have a fair amount of crisps and sweets which might have contributed towards his reluctance to accept no for an answer about cycling after we got home. After bath he did half of his homework (math's questions based on spending money at the seaside) and then we took a photo of his Deadly 60 Lego island to send to the Lego magazine:

Then I read more "Fantastic Mr Fox" to him before sleeping time
