Choir concert with Reading Male Voice Choir

General

Elliott was good today apart from breaking his water bottle before the football tournament by throwing it about for fun. When I told him we'd have to buy a new one with his pocket money because it had been an accident that could have been avoided if he'd been more sensible he got quite updset. And then after the tournament finished he got upset about this again and told me it was unfair. So I had to do quite a lot of explaining about why it's not unfair to teach him to take responsibility of things he owns that are important now he'd getting older.

Activities

The morning was taken up with the football tournament which he enjoyed (apart from the water bottle incident) despite the Panthers losing all their games. I thought he played pretty well again and looked confident again and was trying good skills. I'm not sure he was totally engaged with the tournament in the way he has been in recent games but I think that's just because of the long, drawn out nature of these tournaments. After the tournament we headed home and he got changed before we had ham sandwiches for lunch.

After lunch he made a Doctor Who comic on the iPad before it was time to drop him off for choir practice at school with the Reading Male Voice Choir. After practice we raced home for tea which was homemade Turkey burgers and chips which he liked. Then he got changed in to the clothes for his concert before we went back to Hawkedon for the concert. I really enjoyed the concert (although I thought the Reading Male Voice Choir could have done less songs without the children involved). Also I thought his Year 3 choir were really good:

After the concert we hurried home as it was late and he changed in to his pajamas and went straight to bed.
