Jack Jenkins

General 

Elliott was very good today but he did forget to bring his school clothes home when I picked him up from hockey and was then worried his kit would be put in lost property.  

Activities

After school we went straight to swimming. He enjoyed swimming and is getting on very well with one of the class called Marco (who claims he's the voice of Pikachu in the Gold and Silver cartoon). After swimming he had a shower and a ham sandwich in the car before we came home to find Jack Jenkins being babysat (while his parents were watching Harry Jenkins in his school play). Elliott really enjoyed playing with Jack and showing him his toys. Then when it was time for Jack to go he brushed his teeth, finished reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid and went to sleep (but only after worrying a bit about his PE bag and school clothes).

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

General 

Elliott was good today. Training was a little less serious than it has been but they were all messing about a bit. 

Activities

After school we came home and he watched some iPad before reading more of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Then we had ham sandwiches for tea before we went to football training. They practiced goal kicks and attacking goal kicks and there was more messing around than recent weeks, but Sally was quite laid back. After training we came home and he had a bath before brushing his teeth, reading more of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and then going to sleep.

Wasma

General 

Elliott was in good spirits today and enjoyed his Wasma experience. 

Activities

After breakfast we left quite early to get to the Wasma rehearsal because of the Reading Half Marathon affecting traffic. When we got to Reading we had lunch at Subway (he had ham and pepporoni) before heading to the Hexagon for his rehearsal.

After his rehearsal we went to Pavlov's Dog for tea where Elliott had chicken breast and chips. Then it was time for the concert which I thought was really good and very enjoyable. After Wasma we went straight home and he want straight to bed because it was late.

Nandos

General 

Elliott was really good today. 

Activities

Football this morning was really good and I thought he played really well and focused all through the game. Panthers played some good passing football and were unlucky with the result, but good to see that they weren't too upset at losing 3-2 (as ever). He was also pretty tired after playing for the whole game so we stopped in Woodley for a ham sandwich for lunch on the way home.

After we got home he had a bath before we headed off to Wickes. He was really good while we were in Wickes and afterwards we popped in to Andrea's Dad's for tea and biscuits before heading to Nandos in Wokingham for tea. Elliott had a chicken burger and chips in Nandos. After we got home he got changed in to his pyjamas and we watched Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway before cleaning his teeth, reading some of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and then going to bed.

Cozze

General 

Elliott was in good spirits after school today and very pleased with how the play is going. 

Activities

After I picked him up we went to Woodley for tea as we are still having the kitchen redone. We went to Cozze and he had a pepporoni pizza and garlic bread which he enjoyed. After tea we went home and he watched some Doctor Who before having his bath. Then he had some water before bed time and finished reading The Iron Man. After he'd finished The Iron Man we talked about what it was about and what it's themes were and he said he thought it was about not judging things on how they look or because they are different, which I told him was really brilliant to work out (I looked it up and he was right!)

Subway

General 

Elliott was good after school today. 

Activities

When I picked him up he said he'd enjoyed hockey club and we headed off to swimming. Swimming went well and after swimming he had a shower. Then we went to Subway for tea. After tea we went home and he got ready for bed before finishing his thank you cards for school friends to take to school tomorrow. Then he brushed his teeth and read some of The Iron Man before bed time.

Leek pie

General 

Elliott was in good spirits after school today and as I collected him from hockey club Mr Smaje pointed at his head and mouthed "he's a good player". He had leek pie for lunch. 

Activities

After I picked him up we went straight to swimming and he had a shower after swimming. Then we headed home and he wrote some thank you cards for his presents (he's taking Harry and Noah's in his school bag for the weekend, but hasn't finished all his school friends yet). After he'd finished his thank you cards he had toast for tea and then made one of his Lego sets from his party presents. He also read some of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone which he began reading at school while they were practicing for the play and he wasn't involved (he has Andrea's copy). Then he brushed his teeth and read some more of The Iron Man before bed time.

Blue Peter

General 

Elliott was really good after school today. 

Activities

We headed home straight after school and Elliott had some toast and a luncheon meat sandwich for tea. Then we watched some Blue Peter before he got ready for football training. He was much more focused in football training tonight and did really well. After we got home he had a quick bath, brushed his teeth and then went straight to sleep.

Atom birthday party

General 

Elliott was in very good spirits today and really enjoyed both the hockey and his birthday party. 

Activities

We had an early start this morning to get to the hockey tournament at Sonning hockey club. He played really well in all the games he played in and was really focused (including when he filled in for the other South Berkshire team) and I thought everyone started playing as a team and playing really well. His passing and tackling were brilliant and his dribbling and he set one goal up after a dribble and scored one himself too. The tournament was also really well organised again and even in the rain at the beginning the teams were really well run. After hockey we headed back home and Jack Jenkins and his mother popped round to say hello and he played football outside on the field with Jack. Then he had a quick snack for lunch before we set off to Atom trampolining for his birthday party.

After we got home he opened his presents and he was also very pleased with his present haul - 2 Lego sets, 2 toy guns, a Transformer, a board game about UFOs, a cinema voucher and some money. Then he had his bath and some bed time squash before watching some Doctor Who. Finally he brushed his teeth, read some more of "The Iron Man" and then it was bed time.

Granny and Grandpa

General 

Elliott was good today. 

Activities

After he woke up Elliott watched some Doctor Who and played with his new Batman verses Superman Lego set. Then it was off to football. He played up front in the first half and was a bit distracted as he was messing around with Harry before the game began and I don't think they managed to click in to game mode immediately. He was subbed for 5 minutes towards the end of the first half. He did play quite well but he wasn't always switched on and the first half was very scrappy finishing 0-0. In the second half he played at the back and concentrated much better and played really well. Panthers lost 2-0 but were the better team and had enough chances to easily win, it was just one of those games where the ball never went in (close missed, good saves, etc). After football we talked about focusing quicker and calming down 10 minutes before the game starts so he can be ready and he was a bit upset (especially when I linked it to Miss Woods talking about being distracted during parents evening). However we talked about how criticism doesn't mean he hadn't done lots of things right as well it was just building on the good things to improve even more. Then we headed home for a quick snack for lunch.

After lunch he had a bath and then Granny and Grandpa arrived with his birthday present (a big version of Thunderbirds 2 and 4). Then, just as he'd opened that present, Graham Jenkins arrived with Harry and Jack and another present (a spin and move BB8). So he had a lot of fun playing with his new toys and showing Jack and Harry his other toys. Then Graham, Harry and Jack left and we had an early tea of spaghetti bolognese. After tea he practiced his lines as Gojo in the play with Granny, Andrea and me before playing more with his new toys. Then he got ready for bed and watched some of Ant and Dec before brushing his teeth, reading more of "The Iron Man" and then going to bed.

Gojo

General 

Elliott was good after school today. He was in good spirits when he came out as they'd been rehearsing the Peace Child play and he now knows his part is Gojo and his lines in the play are funny.

Activities

After school we popped in to Sainsburys on the way home and he chose his birthday cake and bought a different Lego Batmobile with his birthday money (the version from the Batman Verses Superman film). After we got home he made his new Lego set and had toast for tea. Then he had his bath and he sang me songs from the Peace Child in the bath. After the bath he finishing making his Lego set while he drank his bed time squash and then brushed his teeth. Finally he read some of his school book The Iron Man and then it was time to go to sleep.
