General
Elliott was really good after school today.
Activities
After school we went home and Elliott did some animating before we watched some more of Batman Verses Superman while Elliott had ham sandwiches for tea. After tea we headed back to Hawkedon for the curriculum evening which was interesting and Elliott will be getting two lots of homework per week now (one lot during the week and one lot at the weekend) and they're advising he should spend 20 to 30 minutes doing this. They also talked about SATs in May and how they build up to these gently At the end they talked some more about the Manor Trip and it does look really good. They also emphasised that if there's anything that the children don't want to do they can just ask not to do it and Elliott certainly seems to be a bit less concerned and a bit more excited. They also made some bold claims about how independent the children will become thanks to the trip (apparently he'll be washing his own clothes when he returns) but they were joking and said that it does help and it helps all the children and teachers get to know each other before the last year. After the curriculum evening finished we picked up a few bits of shopping in ASDA on the way home and then he did some Clarinet practice when we got in. After Clarinet he had a bath, brushed his teeth and then read more of "what's for dinner Mr Gum" before it was time to go to sleep.
