Elliott had a relaxing morning before we headed off for Berkshire Under 14s hockey at Wellington School. Granny, Grandpa and Andrea came to watch the first game was against South London and Berkshire looked a little disjointed and lost. They only had two substitutes (one of which was a goalkeeper) and were missing a number of players so they did quite well to keep the score to 2-0, with the second scored right at the end of the game from a controversial short corner. Elliott played in central defence with Bailey Kelly. After the first game we went to Costa in Crowthorne and Elliott had a bacon roll and water for lunch.
After lunch we headed back to Wellington for the second game against Buckinghamshire. In the meantime Buckinghamshire had lost 3-1 to South London. For the second game they had no outfield subs as Joshua Thornton had to leave after the first game to go on holiday and during the the warm up one of the boys got injured so they played the whole first half with only 9 outfield players. They played better in the second game though and Elliott and Bailey were very solid and stepped out of defence well. They were losing 1-0 at half time and asked the subsitutute goalkeeper to play out on the pitch to make up the numbers (up front) and in the second half they dominated the game and equalised, the game finishing 1-1. After the second game we drove home and Elliott had a shower before he had macaroni cheese for tea and raisins for pudding. After tea he practiced his Clarinet and then brushed his teeth and got ready for bed. He read more of "Star Wars: Aftermath: Life Debt" by Chuck Wendig before he went to sleep.
