General

Elliott was very good today.

Activities

After pick up we went to Sam's name dedication service at Wokingham Baptist Church. This was quite a modern church service and the name dedication part was very quick. After the name part Elliott went upstairs to a little group session for 5 to 8 year olds (with me) where they talked about making choices and how sometimes the right choice is the most difficult action to take. They used the example of story of the person who build their house on firm foundations and the person who built their house on sand and how the house on sand was easier to build but got blown down. The children then built their own house with firm foundations out of Lego or house with shaky foundations using building blocks. Elliott very much enjoyed building a Lego house. After this the service had downstairs had finished and we had coffee with some other friends of Sam's parents who have 2 little girls (Alice and Hetty) and Elliott showed them how to build lots of shapes with his Rubix Snake. After coffee we went to Sam's grandparents house down the road for buffet lunch and Alice and Hetty also came so they all played together very nicely and enjoyed some cake. At the lunch he also said hello to Sam who was fascinated with him.

After lunch we went home and had a relaxed late afternoon and evening. Elliott watched some Big Hero 6 films on You Tube and played with Ben 10 toys .We had spaghetti bolognese for tea, bath time was very smooth and before bed time he read some of his animal encyclopedia to find out more about giraffes and koalas.
