General
Elliott was mostly good again today. Again he did get a bit sulky when we were in WH Smith and he took too long deciding which magazine to buy (we were in there with Peter and Charlie Sladen to buy football stickers for Charlie and he did take a very long time - so we left without buying one). He took the time it took to walk across Salisbury to cheer up so it wasn't too bad.
Activities
After breakfast he did some handwriting practice and wrote the first chapter of a new story called "Star Wars The Force". This featured the Resistance cafe crew giving Rey and Finn drinks before a battle and I could read every word and so I made sure I told him the handwriting was clear. Then we watched some Blue Peter and set off for Salisbury to meet Peter and Charlie Sladen for lunch. We originally went to Salisbury Arts Centre for lunch where they have a "live lunch" in their cafe with live music. Today it was a band playing music from the 1920s (2 men and one woman playing different instruments and singing). However it was really busy and also very quiet so we watched a few songs and then went to Wetherspoons for lunch instead. We were expecting it to be more lively in the Arts Centre and Pete said that previous live lunches had been less busy and less like a concert. Elliott had a hot dog for his lunch with tomato ketchup.
After lunch we went to WH Smiths to buy football stickers for Charlie and Paw Patrol stickers for Alice. I was going to buy Elliott a magazine but he spent so long deciding that we ended up leaving without a magazine and then he sulked, even though I had told him a number of times he had to decide quickly or we'd go without a magazine. He did cheer up quite quickly though and also decided he wanted the Thunderbirds magazine when we next went to a magazine shop. I told him he could have it if he was good. Then we headed back to the Sladen's house and Elliott and Charlie played football indoors in two epic games with a soft ball after Elliott had looked at Charlie's Star Wars Lego. After an orange squash and tea we headed back to Downton via Waitrose where we did find the Thunderbirds magazine which had a Thunderbird 5 model that Elliott was very excited about. After we got to Granny and Grandpas it was time for spaghetti bolognese for tea before he did a toy review of his new Thunderbird 5 and other Thunderbird toys:
