Mountain biking from Keswick to Threlkeld

General

Elliott was very good today.

Activities

After breakfast we headed to the bike shop and hired mountain bikes for the day. Then we cycled along the disused railway track from Keswick to Threlkeld where we had some coffee at Threlkeld Village Hall. The discused railway track has only recently been re-opened after flooding decimated it about 5 years ago so it was good to ride along, although it was raining quite hard for some of the time:

Then we cycled to Castelrigg Stone Circle for lunch:

Elliott had ham and cheese rolls for lunch.

After lunch we cycled back to Keswick and then cycled to Portinscale and back through Fitz Park before it was time to return the bikes. After we returned the bikes we went back to our holiday house and Elliott had a shower. We had spaghetti bolognese for tea and Elliott had a Yo-Yo Bear fruit for pudding. After tea Elliott brushed his teeth and got ready for bed. Before he went to sleep Elliott read "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" by Douglas Adams.
