General
Elliott was mainly good today. However lunch was a bit disappointing as he decided he didn't like his roast pork and so only ate a few slices. However he has had pork a number of times before and eaten it with no problems. He did eat all his roast potatoes and a largish bit of broccoli and 3 sweetcorn. I made sure that lunch didn't turn in to a battle but also I did ask him to eat a bit more meat which he did after a bit of sulking. In the end I found changing the subject and getting on with eating my own meal seemed to move him on.
Activities
In the morning we went to pick him up after his sleepover and he was outside scootering and having fun when we arrived. We all played together for a few hours and Elliott, Harry and Jack were getting on really well. At one point me, Harry and Elliott were having a party dancing and listening to music which was good fun. Then we left and went home for lunch which was roast pork with roast potatoes, broccoli and sweetcorn.
After lunch Elliott did his homework which was re-writing sentences with capital letters and re-arranging words into sentences with capital letters. He did this very well and very quickly and without any help. There is a note saying that homework this term will focus on grammar and they should do it without any help as it relates to the work of their phonics groups. There won't be any spellings to learn this term. After homework we went to the tip to drop off some rubbish and popped in to Andrea's parents on the way home where we saw Harry and Jack again and showed them how to play Lego Batman on the iPad. Then we came home and watched some of Aladdin before bath time. After his bath we talked about nurses for his home learning and he read some more of his Jack Stalwart book to me before I read some more of the book to him.
