General
Elliott was good today. He did get upset once during football training when he and Fin (who were in a pair) got their ball mixed up with Harry and Javier's ball and he wanted to swap back. He was quite upset (in tears) and we had to take a quick break as it looked like he was beginning to choke breathe, but after talking about it not really mattering and doing deep breathing he was soon back and raring to go. He also talked a bit about being split up again in the car on the way home and having two houses so we talked about how most things in life have a good side and a bad side and how having separated parents was the same. Then we thought of some examples of good and bad sides of other things (like going to school and going to Monkey Mates) and then I asked him what were good things about having separated parents and he had a few ideas (like having two rooms with more space for toys). He also took his antibiotics with no problems.
Activities
After I picked him up we went to Kings Meadow Tescos where we did some clothes shopping and had elevenses. Then we went home and he watched Cbeebeis pantomimes while I did some housework. Then we had past with bacon sauce for lunch and he also had some peas (not a huge amount, but he asked for some.
After lunch he wrote 3 thank you cards really well and then we went to Monkey Mates as I have a couple of free entries that I won in the Christmas Fayre tombola. Monkey Mates was lots of fun and I joined him for some of it (he showed me 3 different ways to get to the big slide). Unfortunately I couldn't join him as much as he asked me to though. Then it was football training which, apart form the moment of upset, was really good and they focused on practicing dribbling and passing. All the boys seemed unusually disciplined today and really listened and Elliott is beginning to look really natural with the ball. At the end they played a quick game and Elliott played in defence and made some really good tackles. Then it was home for a quick tea of toast and a quick bath before bed time.
