Splat the rat

General

Elliott was good today but was quite tired by the end of the day.

Activities

We had a good night's sleep as the family camping area had been moved away from the general camping area this year and so was nice and quiet. After Elliott woke up we went looking for breakfast in the Festival and found croissants which we bought and took back to the camp site. Then we packed away the tents and packed up the car so we could leave when we were ready. After we'd packed everything in to the car we went back in to the Festival and off to the children's area where we played more swingball, some splat the rat, threw more balls at the coconut shy (and Elliott knocked off some coconuts), Elliott did some more climbing and he had another go at archery:

After that we headed off to the swing rounabout ride and Elliott persuaded me to have a go on the ride with him:

Then we headed off to the Market Stage for some shade and we watched a band called Caspian's Island who we enjoyed and Elliott described as "loud". Then we went back to the main Truck Stage and Elliott had one last go on the Helter Skelter (during which he had to hold on to his hat):

He also tried on some groovy sunglasses at one of the stalls:

After the end of a band on the Truck Stage called Tax The Heat (quite hard rock so Elliott enjoyed them) we headed back to the car and stopped at McDonalds at Didcot for lunch on the way home. Elliott had chicken nuggets happy meal.

After lunch we drove home and when we'd got home we unpacked and then relaxed for the afternoon. Elliott drew Picachu the Pokemon and watched some Pokemon on the iPad. Then it was time for a much needed bath for him before ham sandwiches for tea and then some reading (his Star Wars book) before bed time. He went to sleep very quickly again.
