Beale Park

General

Elliott was good for all of today apart from taking a long time to get dressed in the morning.

Activities

In the morning we went to Beale Park. This was really good, we did a lot of playing in play areas, saw lots of different animals (birds, small monkeys, meerkats, etc) and had a ride on the little train around the park. We also had a pic-nic lunch which was really nice in one of the pic-nic areas. It was very hot but we had lots of sun cream and spent lots of time in the shade as well as the sun. Elliott declared his favourite part was seeing the model display they have there in a house.

We left Beale Park in the late afternoon and drove to a camp site in Wallingford where Elliott helped us put up 2 tents - one for me and him and one for Andrea. He helped with putting the sleeping bags in the tents. Then we went to a pub by the River Thames for dinner before we went back to the camp site and he went to bed very nicely and quickly - although he was quite excited by the tent and intrigued by the bugs in the top of the tent. He went to sleep quickly considering, though the day had been very active.
