Truck Festival

General

Overall Elliott was really good today. There was one incident at Truck Festival when we were looking at some Frisbees and Yo-Yos and he didn't seem able to pick anything to buy so we left the stall and then he sulked about not having "bought a toy" - but after being upset and having a chat he was happy again.

Activities

We started off by watching Nick Cope play acoustic songs for kids in the kids tent. Elliott seemed engaged by this briefly but we were soon playing football in the field outside. Then it was over to the Oxford Playhouse tent (scene of last year's "funny men") for a similar show only this time about tea and preformed by two funny ladies. He really enjoyed this. After that we went for a wander around the different areas of the Festival before going back to our tent for a pic-nic lunch.

After lunch we went back to the main field and sat on a blanket in front of the main stage for a while. Elliott watched the band playing for a bit and then ran around climbing up a sculpture of a CD stack that lots of children were playing on. Then we wandered back to the field where the kids tent was for more football and a repeat viewing of the Oxford Playhouse funny play about tea at Elliott's request. After that finished we relaxed in a comfy corner with armchairs and books in the corner of the Oxford Playhouse tent and Elliott did some cartwheels - at one point on of the funny ladies had done some cartwheels as part of the play. After that we went back to the tent and packed up and Elliott helped us by deflating the air bed very well (he jumped on it a lot and rolled around on it). Then it back to the main field and found a "crashed UFO" that had been unveiled at the side of the main stage which Elliott enjoyed playing on. Next we had tea in the food tent and he had some margarita pizza before we watched Gaz Coombes on the main stage - part of which Elliott seemed very engaged with, most of which we played during. Finally we returned home.
