General
Elliott was good apart from at the end of tea when he sulked because he wasn't allowed a Penguin cake for pudding (he'd had one for tea) and refused to eat a cereal bar instead. I moved him to his room and ignored him and he soon emerged and said sorry.
Activities
In the morning we went to Dinton Pastures to do some pond dipping. This involved fishing in a pond with lots of other children and examining the little creatures caught in a tray filled with water and with a laminated identifier sheet. Elliott enjoyed this and got quite excited a few times. However after about 40 minutes he lost interest a little and we went to go and meet Charlie, Isla and Natalie for a pic-nic lunch.
After lunch he played with Charlie and Isla in the playground part of Dinton Pasturers for ages - and with assorted other little people they made friends with. We also played with a football and rugby ball. When everyone was tired and hot we headed off to the café for some drinks and ice cream - although no ice cream for Elliott as he still hasn't developed a taste for it. When we all left Elliott swapped his Cars aeroplane toy with a Cars remote control walkie talkie toy with Charlie so I'll make sure he brings that on Saturday so you can swap back next week. He had hot dogs for tea which he ate well until the pudding meltdown, but he did eat the cereal bar after his bath in the end.
